Normally don’t write reviews, but thought this experience was pretty funny. Visited the cafe on the 6th floor just after opening to find the most place 97% empty, a few patrons sporadically dotted around the cafe. I was eventually approached by one of the guys on the wait staff and asked if I had a reservation (he asked in English as I’m visiting), as they were currently “full”, I responded with no and simply assumed they were hosting a large party soon. Only when I pass the threshold of the entrance, one solitary girl entered past me. Having studied enough Japanese I could understand the same waiter asked if she had a reservation, she apologised and said “no”. The waiter paused for a second, looked around the cafe, and told her to follow him to a table. Personally found this hilarious and thought it only happened in weird stories from Reddit threads, but here I am. I’d rate the food, but they didn’t let me in, probably looked like too much...
Read moreThis was a great find, but note that it is on 6F. Google had it tagged with "women" and we seemed to be the only men there, but it was a great low key cafe with great savory dishes, desserts, and drinks (and handy baskets to place your purse or other things if you need to). There was a one drink minimum but that was no problem, we had a matcha latte which included a dollop of crème fraîche and a homemade ginger ale with lots of ginger. Their version of a Cesar salad was delicious, as was their Ajillo Shrimp, but the crowning glory (and most expensive item on the bill) was their signature Suzu pudding parfait with espresso bean powder, whipped cream, flan pudding, brulee banana, almond mille feuille, imo sweet potato, and vanilla ice cream. Total was 4800¥ which comes to about $35, not cheap but very reasonable and they don't rush you out (we took our time but some ladies that came before us still...
Read moreCozy venue, the coffee is splendid, their food is tasty and though their prices are rather high. Free WiFi and power sources are available.
On top of the high prices the size of their dishes is quite small. Beware of ordering additional plates, since that costs extra. The waitress however claimed it wouldn’t cost extra.
They also claimed that the regular size is enough for two people, but it’s in fact hardly enough for one. Not the best place to go for, if you happen to be hungry, but if you’re just craving for coffee and some dessert definitely recommended.
Furthermore, you’re required to order at least one drink, even if you...
