MUJI Ginza — Local services in Tokyo

I was really looking forward to visiting the Muji flagship store, expecting something more impressive — like a beautiful space with a wide range of furniture, home goods, and all the classic Muji vibes.

But honestly, I’ve been to other smaller or farther Muji locations that actually had more variety. I get that this flagship probably gets a lot of foot traffic, which might affect stock and space, but still — when you go to the main store, you kind of expect the most complete experience.

That said, I was happy to find a limited-edition bag that’s only available at this location. So there is something special here. Just wish the overall layout and product range felt...

This Muji store is huge and really impressive. Inside, there’s a bakery and a food section with lots of delicious-looking items—but unfortunately, you’re not allowed to eat inside the store.

Level 2 is dedicated to women’s clothing, and I actually bought a few items here. Prices are about 20% cheaper compared to Malaysia, which makes it a great place to shop. On top of that, foreigners can enjoy a 10% tax-free benefit—you just need to go up to Level 4 to process it at the tax-free counter.

Terrible service of the ladies on the coffee of the top floor. The place was empty and my partner just wanted to have an espresso. We sat down at the bar and immediately I was told I could not sit down because I did not order something which I understood (even though I think it’s arbitrary especially when the place is empty) so I stood up and waited next to him while they gave him his espresso. The lady continued harassing me and telling me I could not be there if I did not order something to drink not even standing up when the place was empty 😣...
