2024.02.10 Sat It's been a long time since I came here last time. Visited around 10.50am, a group of five people were waiting in the line and it became 11 after 11.00am!!
l ordered 上ロース(1500JPY). It was good that the price was the same. The line system was well organized. 2022.12.11 Sun It was closed on Sunday. I'm not sure but it used to be open on Sunday, too... Maybe next time then. 2022.10.15 Sat Visited just 11:00am, a group of four people were waiting in the line. But the table inside was all set and the attendance was so smooth. I could learn something from it.
l ordered 上ロース(1500JPY). The food was good as usual! 2022.03.26 Sat Visited around 12:30, four people were waiting in the line. They change the order system so I had to buy a ticket at the vending machine.
l ordered 上ロース(1500JPY). Since I showed the ticket before I got seated ,so I could start to eat around 12:45 and left the restaurant at 13:05.
It's a little tiring, but it's worth waiting.
2021.12.19 Wed Visited at 11:00, I didn't need to take a line at this time. It's not so busy today because some people were already taking their new year holiday. I ordered ロースカツ定食(ro-su kastu teishoku 1200JPY).
2021.12.11 Sat Visited at 13:00, 9 people were waiting and the staff said it'll take about 30 minutes to get seated. So I took a rain check for this time. BTW they adopted a ticket machine lately.
2021.10.16 Sat Visited at 13:00, three people were waiting and five more people came in the line after I joined it, but the staff asked me a order while I was waiting. l ordered 上ロース(1500JPY). I could start to eat around 13:15 and left the restaurant at 13:35.
2021.07.14 Wed Visited at 10:55am, and I was second person to take a line. The line has 3 person when it opened at 11:00. I ordered ロースカツ定食(ro-su kastu teishoku 1200JPY).
I love this Tonkatsu with four types of salts. And even the porks in the miso soup were great!
BTW did they change the BGM?? It's local radio station (Tokyo FM) today.
2021.04.28 Wed Visited at 10:50am, and I was the first person to take a line. The line has 3 person when it opened at 11:00. I ordered ロースカツ定食(ro-su kastu teishoku 1200JPY).
There was a sign for Mokushoku(eat in silence) I think the sanitation for covid-19 has been stronger than last time which is good for me.
I thought there were 3 kinds of salt but there were 4 at this time. I like it, too.
2021.02.23 Tue(Holiday) Visited at 12:50, I could get in without waiting in the line at this time. l ordered 上ロース(1500JPY). It was really good as usual. And I think 12:50-13.00 is not so busy, so it should be a nice timing to visit.
※文字制限の為、中略※ 2020.08.04 Visited at 11:20am, but it's already full inside so I had to wait for taking a line outside. (In spite of coronavirus, this restaurant is so popular!!)
Ordered ロースカツ定食(ro-su kastu teishoku 1200JPY). You can get it only weekday(Mon-Fri). I love to eat them with three kinds of salt.
Only one thing I don't like here is music is too young?! for me :-)
2020.03.21 Second visit. A famous Tonkatsu restaurant in the local. (main shop in Kanata and one in Ginza). l tried 上ロース(1500JPY)this time. If you visit in weekdays, there are more reasonable one. It was one of the best Tonkatsu I've ever had!! Try it with salt(there at three kinds on the counter), not with source. The source is good with cabbage though. Japanese masterd is not bad with the Tonkatsu.
*English, Chinese and Korean menu are available. *Since the restaurant is very famous, you have to prepare for take a line.
2020.03.16 Visited on Monday, but...

Read morefood we ordered were pretty good, the only reason it lost stars for me was when the owner asked me if I spoke japanese — I replied I didn’t (I’m an asian foreigner that’s not Japanese), he looked very upset with me. I thought I was imagining it until I saw the difference between me how he treated my partner who wasn’t an asian foreigner that didn’t speak Japanese (we both ordered in japanese but it didn’t seem to make a difference in my case 🙃)
food details: we ordered oyakodon (raw egg + raw chicken & rice), chicken wings, and chicken pieces (top left top items on the menu). chicken pieces slapped the hardest, the raw chicken with rice was good but definitely different so keep your mind open if you haven’t had it before (our first time as well), and the chicken wings were good if you enjoy a dark soy sauce taste.
I’d recommend trying it out, but I’m not going to lie—I waited until the next day to write this post and the feeling of how visibly disappointed the owner is still with me. He ignored me whenever we spoke with him and looked physically...
