Had the tori karaage lunch set here at this place which specialises in chicken dishes.
Apparently, the menu differs at night so you might want to check it out for dinner for more options. When I visited the place, there were only 4 choices for lunch and most of them were oyakodon.
What really impressed me was the size of the karaage which can be likened to the Hokkaido zangi and the quality which was so juicy and tender. I think it has to do with the cut of the meat used - most likely the thigh portion in this instance. The batter was also flavourful , crunchy but not oily and of the right thickness. The clear soup was a good choice instead of the miso soup used in most rice sets while the pickles and refreshingly crunchy cabbage added texture to the dish as a whole.
As this is a place in an office building, I wouldn't say that it's somewhere you would like to linger on after your meal since it's not that big and can get crowded during lunchtime. The vibe might be vastly different at...
