NOT FOREIGNER/TOURIST FRIENDLY AVOID!!!

My boyfriend and I were wanting some okonomiyaki and were excited to try a restaurant so close to our hotel after a long day of sight seering and subway travel - Huge mistake!!

Very poor experience - we were ignored fir 15 minutes before someone came to take our order and offer water. The waitress was either still being trained our didn't not care about our table - the food was burnt, large portions fell into the burner under belly, and she looks displeased the entire time she was making our food. They gave us an "English Menu" that was unchanged 300¥ per item and when we tried to use the japanese menu they still charged us the e glish prices

Disgusting, burnt, overpriced, and wasted food - if youre visiting tokyo fo not give them your business and go to one of the many other restaurants within...

We found this restaurant by accident for the first time in 2023, as we wanted to visit the sumo arena. At that time there only was a japanese menu, thanks to google lens we were able to order something. And this "something" named Monja was absolutely delicious. Now back in Tokyo in 2025, we wanted to visit this restaurant again. To our surprise they now have an english menu! We remembered that we ordered monja with squid and luckily they still have it on the carte! So we ordered it again. We loved the atmosphere and watching Ogaki-san using the spatulas was amazing!! It was incredible. He took care of our dishes and of our well-being throughout our visit. We were glad we went back...

Chefs cook traditional Japanese food at your table. Each patron needs to order something to cook—meaning four people cannot go in, order one item, then share it. Each person needs to order something. The two of us ordered monja and okonomiyaki—both traditional Japanese.

Kokowa, our young female chef, quickly cooked monja then okonomiyaki—both to perfection. She is very skilled. And friendly.

This restaurant takes its decore theme from the nearby sumo wrestling venue.

Prices are very reasonable—excellent, actually.

A great dinner that made our last night in Tokyo perfect. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. We were served by Kensei and Sumire, who were friendly and very attentive to us. They prepared our food in front of us and made sure everything was perfect while we waited for the food to be ready. The service was great in English as we don't speak Japanese. The food was really good and fresh and we have never had such good okonomiyaki in Japan. I would recommend eating here even if you are a little further afield! A great experience.
