Watering Hole — Restaurant in Tokyo

I wanted to come to this place for the longest time ever and finally I was here. However, I was extremely underwhelmed. They have many imported beers but even though those are quite rare in Japan, the prices are still very high. Then we also ordered an orange chicken. If you expect something like Panda Express, then don't. These were just small slices of chicken breast in Fanta. It was okay but not what you would imagine. Lastly, we ordered the fries with the samurai sauce. The English dicription of this dish clearly stayed that it comes with an egg. So when it was served and there was no egg, I even asked, what happened. The guy said that the egg was in the sauce. But you can see in the photo that there is no any egg. Unless he meant that the egg was in mayonese. But you know, it is kind of how you make mayonese, it should not be specified in the menu. So basicaly he lied, and looked a bit high or something. Went onto my “Best Bars of Tokyo” pretty much the moment I walked in.

Slightly weird location next to the main road, but big, spacey and perfectly quirky modern beer place. Master is a literal legend, becoming the first non-American to win the Homebrewer of the Year Award back in 1998. He is still around, and can probably be spotted by his weird fashion choices...

Prices are very fair, we got these sets each one for 1,200 JPY, and the variety of beers to choose from is great! Don’t miss some wagyu gyoza as a beer time snack: food is also excellent quality and very fresh.

Not everybody out there is a cocktail lover, but even for them an occasional beer time doesn’t hurt. This is definitely a great place to reconnect with the old true friend...

Easily one of my favorite place while visiting Japan. I was hoping to see some of the local craft beer scene and this place delivered. The beer selection was great and the staff were super friendly. The food was amazing and they did a great job throwing out there takes on classic craft beer bar menu staples like burgers but the Japanese food here is off the charts. I'll definitely be back here when I'm next in Tokyo and I hope this crew keep crushing the craft bar scene. Also pro tip the karaage here might be some of the best I had on my trip. And I had a LOT.
