It's a nice place for introverts or tourists who don't speak any Japanese. It's pretty much completely self-serve. You only have to interact with the staff when paying.

First time eating out in Japan, and I just had to order the raw egg and natto to try out. Raw egg on rice is pretty good. The natto is a miss for me.

For the shy tourists who doesn't know what they're doing. Once you enter the store, just bow and say hello, take a sit on one of the empty seat. Choose the food you want on the display, and then send it off. Once the food is ready, it will be displayed on the giant screen at the front reception. Pick up the food, and get your utensils and tissues etc. Once you're finished with the food, bring the tray to area where it asks you to leave the tray at. Serving was always fast. Ordered the fried chicken rice bowl at the first Yoshinoya outlet we tried, was good and it served different tempuras (fried prawn, fried ladies finger, fried tiny fish, fried brinjal slice, etc.). But this Yoshinoya outlet didn't serve chicken rice bowl or tempura, only beef, pork and unagi rice bowl. The beef wasn't that tasty to me as its ginger taste was quite strong (tried my sister's bowl) so I ordered unagi rice bowl (750 yen), of which I would prefer the tastier unagi rice bowl from Sukiya opposite (780 yen). A great place that opens 24 hours so you at least know if you can't decide or find a place to eat, you can come here for the sake of getting full.

Everything is practically self-service which is not unusual in Japan. You set yourself, select what you want on the tablet provided on the table and then wait for your number to be called and go collect at the counter, very easy. They also have a tea and condiment station with utensils.
