Shimon Syurō — Restaurant in Yokohama

Very disappointing service! Avoid at all costs! Not welcoming (probably we are tourists) and basically very slow service. We waited at least 15mins between courses. First course was a starter (prawns with mango sauce croquets) was simply disgusting as the prawns were foul smelling! We sent back saying we do not like it, the waiter simply took it away without saying a single word, no questioning, nothing. Then we waited for almost 20mins for our mains (black bean sauce beef, aubergine pot and pork belly). When I complaint that their service was very slow, the waiter just replied that it was a busy hours (there were 3 empty tables next to us!) and walked away without any apology. After the first main dish came, we had to wait for another 15mins for the next two dishes. By the time the 2nd and 3rd dishes came our steam rice had gone cold. The 3 main courses were of good taste to give back some credit to the chef. We paid 7000 for the lunch (we only drank a pot of Chinese oolong tea) which we thought it was way overpriced for the very small portion (eg, the first diah had only 5 tiny pieces of beef!). All the food we had was so tasty and delicious! We even had a 2nd helping of the fried rice! We had desserts too!

Good thing we reserved beforehand, as we’re a big group and we were seated in a big round table.

The service was fine, but since we had a lot of orders, they wanted us to hurry in eating some dishes, which was understandable since there’s no space or food might get cold and they just wanted us to have the best meal.

◆牛肉・野菜ときのこのオイスターソース炒め 870円 2021.2.5金 上品な味で美味しかった。スープもデザートのマンゴープリンも美味しい。 お店の雰囲気も良かった。

◆海老・イカ・帆立と野菜の薄塩炒め 870円 2021.2.22月 前回、美味しかったので再訪。 塩加減が絶妙で美味しい。このお店、私好み。

◆茄子と豚肉のピリ辛炒め 740円 2021.4.21水 抜群に美味しかった。平日ランチで訪問した中華街のお店は、まだ30店ほどだが、このお店、私の中ではトップ3に入る。 デザートは4、5種類から選べ、今日は紹興酒ムースを選択。美味しかった。 ランチは日替わり、週替わり、定番と豊富で飽きない。次の金曜日の鮮魚姿蒸しも食べてみたい。 美味しいお店を開拓したくて、初めてのお店を周るようにしているのだが、仕方がない、金曜も来るか。

◆本日の鮮魚の姿蒸し 740円 2021.4.23金 魚の味は淡白だけど、上に乗ったネギと生姜と一緒に、たれをかけながら食べると、美味しい。 これで740円はお得。

◆五目野菜と豚肉の醤油炒め 740円 2021.7.9金 ランチA「冬菜入り豚ひき肉の蒸し物」を食べたかったけど、出遅れて完売だったので、Bの野菜炒めを選択。 普通の野菜炒めだけど、味付けが抜群で美味しかった。 このお店、野菜炒めも手を抜かない。

◆五目野菜炒め 740円 2021.9.27月 前回の五目野菜炒めほどの感動はなかった。何が違うのだろう。 決して不味くはないのだが、街中の定食屋と変わらない味。わざわざ中華街まで出掛けて食べなくても良かったかな。

◆油淋鶏 740円 2021.11.29月 開店10分後の11時40分に着いたら1階は満席で、初めて2階に案内された。 「赤イカと銀杏の薄塩炒め」も捨てがたかったが、油淋鶏を選択。 お酢が効いた香味だれが美味しかった。ちょっと量が少なかったかな。

◆五目冷麺 1,100円 2022.8.30火 冷やし中華はゴマだれより醤油だれ派なので、ちょっとガッカリしたけど、あっさりしたゴマだれだったので、美味しく食べられた。 具は、エビ、クラゲ、蒸し鶏、焼豚、きゅうり、トマト、椎茸、錦糸卵、と葉っぱが一枚。なんの野菜か不明。

◆牛肉・野菜ときのこのオイスターソース炒め 960円 2023.5.8月 2年ぶりに、このメニューをセレクト。 90円高なのは仕方がないかぁ。 お味は変わらず美味しかったけど、ちょっと塩っぱくなったようなぁ、、、体調のせいかなぁ。
