We ordered a tin foil pot, a hot pot, a plate of beef, a vegetable, and two cups of juice.

When the juice was served, something amazing happened. First, we were served a plate of vegetables and beef. And then we sat in the cold wind for ten minutes, and they brought us a BBQ pot? With the help of other locals, we managed to change it to hot pot.

That's when the funny thing started. The boss came and took away our beef and brought us a plate of pork？？？ that tasted like pork！！！

An hour had passed. We were so hungry, we thought they forgot me and no services come to us. When we finally decided to receive this disappointed dinner, we went to pay the dinner. They remembered what we had ordered，hahahaha, and we spent another 15 minutes talking, and had to pay for the pork plate. I really appreciate this...

This restaurant specializes in Laotian hotpot/BBQ. Lots of locals, and only a few tourists. The food was fantastic, and the staff were extremely helpful to the two of us, who hadn't ever had Laotian hotpot before. We ordered the pork collar and the beef shank along with a portion of vegetables, and were provided the grill (which is semi-circular with a moat on the sides for soup) and placed on top of charcoal. The meat is grilled and the fat which drips off the sides is caught in the water flavouring the broth, which also cooks the vegetables. They provide a bowl of garlic and chilli, and a lovely tamarind sweet chilli sauce to flavour the broth as you like.

Best -- and probably the best value -- meal I've had so far in...

In the Facebook page that my friend recommended were "Zaap zap restaurant" . So we took sometime to figure out the right one we should go. When arrived we went downstars where you right by Mekong river side. Somehow we asked the waiter that is it the same restaurant as upstairs... He said not the same place... So we ended up eating upstars which chairs are more comfortable. But found out later that they are the same place actually 🤣 . Anyway, the atmosphere were great except a lot of files and mosquitoes... i bet you couldn't get away with that coz the location is right by the river. Food were not bad.... They should marinate the meat like in Thailand. However, overall is great to visit. Wait staff should be a bit...
