I recently dined at Restaurant Hummus in Riga and I must say it was an absolute delight. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that immediately made me feel at home.
The falafel hummus and tabouleh salad that I ordered were simply outstanding. The falafel had a perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and a flavorful, moist interior. Each bite was packed with a delightful blend of spices and herbs, and it paired perfectly with the creamy and smooth hummus. The tabouleh salad was a refreshing accompaniment, with its vibrant colors and a burst of freshness from the parsley, tomatoes, and tangy lemon dressing. It was a symphony of flavors that left me wanting more.
The attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes was impressive. The vibrant colors and artistic arrangement on the plate made each dish not only a treat for the taste buds but also a feast for the eyes. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied and content.
The service at Restaurant Hummus was impeccable. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and eager to make my dining experience memorable. They provided excellent recommendations, answered all my questions, and ensured that I had everything I needed throughout my meal.
The restaurant itself has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with tasteful decor and comfortable seating. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal with friends or family. Whether you're a vegetarian, vegan, or simply someone who appreciates flavorful and healthy cuisine, Restaurant Hummus is a must-visit.
I highly recommend Restaurant Hummus in Riga. It's a hidden gem that offers a fantastic dining experience with its delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and top-notch service. Treat yourself to their falafel hummus and tabouleh salad – you won't be disappointed!"

Read moreWent here as a group recently. We all had the shawarma. All 4 of us had food poisoning that same night. We don’t live together and didn’t share any other meals so there is only one culprit. Avoid this restaurant! Service sucks and waiter spent most of the time smoking outside.
Edit: to respond to the racially offensive reply by the owner of the restaurant Hummus:
My name is not Mohamed, I was simply a tourist visiting Riga. I’m going to report your comment, riddled with racism, to Google for review. I’ll also forward it to the police, as racism is a crime in latvia. :)
I am now going to visit the doctor to get this laboratory verified that your restaurant gave us all salmonella. Ive done some cursory googling and it seems like the FVS is the place to report you to in Latvia. Enjoy your inspections.
For anyone wondering what kind of restaurant this is & how they respond to criticism, please refer to this review and the response by the owner.
And in case you think I am being racist, I can even recommend other Israeli restaurants in Riga which are better (eg space falafel). Keep your Mohammed and racism comments to yourself.
Edit 2: there aren’t any similar review of space falafel, I just checked. So it looks like fabrications are also part of your repertoire But nice try, keep your chip on your shoulder, maybe it’ll help save your failing restaurant. :) just for total clarity this review has nothing to do with antisemitism but the owner of this establishment chose to take the feedback in that direction rather than constructively. Read moreThis isn’t hummus. It was a bland paste of something, not even sure it was chickpeas. There wasn’t any acidity of the lemon, there was no garlic and pretty sure there was no tahini either. It was dark brown. Never seen dark brown hummus in my life. And I should know, being Middle Eastern and having eaten hummus for what, the last 35 years of my life?
I mentioned this to the obnoxious waitress who basically said she has been working there for years, and the hummus I got is the same they’ve been serving daily and people always love it. Then tell me why the hummus I got didn’t look anything like on any pictures in the past reviews or like on the restaurant menu.
The pita bread was too thick, not Middle Eastern. The tabouleh had ok-ish flavour but the parsley was cut in way too big pieces that makes it hard to eat. Falafel was just ok.
So tabouleh + falafel + hummus that was nowhere near what it should be (and by far) for 19,80€ (no drinks), hard pass and you should...
