RIONE pizza&cocktails — Restaurant in Riga

Updated 1.12.2024: Returned to this place once again. And so happy to realize, that service is still nice, while the food felt better that the last time I've visited in July 2024. The prices are very nice too: 16eur for pizza+drink. Inside the atmosphere is very cosy. Corrected the evaluations, as the place deserves it. See you again some time in the future:)

//// At the restaurant you can choose to either sit inside or outside (during summertime). The tables outside do not have umbrellas/anything for sun protection, so there is no shade where to hide during sunny day, as well as are located really close to one another, so you literally can overhear the talks of other guests. Hence 3/5 for the atmosphere.

Service is amazing. Complimentary appetizer was also offered to us, but did not manage to take picture of that, it was too good and delicious 🤤 Waiting time also did not disappoint - in like 15 minutes we got our order. 5/5.

The restaurant has a nice selection of pizzas, pasta, as well as appetizers. Vegetarian and vegan options available too. I took parma pizza, it was fresh and good, but after trying multiple different authentic Italian places in Latvia and Italy, something was missing for me in it's taste to unite all the flavours, as all the ingredients that come on top are kinda dry by their nature, so I probably would prefer some souce/paste to add some moisture. Finished our dining with limonchello - it was okay. P.S. my friend enjoyed her her pizza a lot. So 4/5 for the food it is.

For 1 pizza, 1 soft drink and 1 limonchello shot I paid 23 euro, which for July 2024 prices is average/slightly pricier that average in comparison to the similar places in Riga.

Overall it was a pleasant experience and I probably would return to try some...

The days go by like seemingly similar grey clouds, this nordic sky rarely gifts us the sun. But once the moment comes, when the sun rays, those that are hidden in the human heart, radiate, you suddenly open your eyes, just a glimpse... There is no return. It started from an entrance into a newly opened pastiseria 'LET Enzo OUT', where Luca, the owner of the place, offered me my beloved Italian soft drink Chinotto. His smiley eyes and mid- northern Italian accent filled my day with a heartful heat wave that only Italian can gift you upon the common sense of Mediterranean life love. It all radiates the vibe -'warmth' . Luca- 'luciare la luce' - 'to radiate light ' is how I feel when I enter the premises. And now, when the pizzeria hosts lots of young couples, friends, just a simple passers-by, I always call in on, to be enlightened by this Italian sun, for keeping a lively conversation with Luca in Italian. To order pizza, where the taste of dough is absent of yeast, where round circled edges of pizza are bulky and unique, being a protective border from cold, where tasty nuclear circle heats you here in Riga, the only place you find for another approach to those pizza types you already know, pizza that is clean in taste, like the one Italy offers. And finally — to observe him and his team at work with a heartfelt appreciation, to enjoy them, who treat us all to feel happier in this lonely nordic city. And don’t skip dessert—the tiramisu is a cloud of coffee-soaked indulgence that’s the perfect end to a perfect meal.
