Oh boy! Japanese food is the best! Unagi Inu offers several different traditional Japanese dishes and they are quite close to what it is possible to get in Japan (some more than others) My absolute favourite is Takoyaki balls - 10/10. Whenever I'll be visiting Unagi Inu I'll be taking them. My least favourite dish was Okonomijaki 4/10 - in Japan it's not so much as a pancake as it was here (too mucha dough and not enough other ingredients) although it technically should be a pancake in Japan as well. Was it good - yes - for a pancake with cabbage. Beef donburi was simple yet tasty 7/10 beef was tender and not chewy. Egg gave extra sauce. Rice was well cooked. Salmon donburi was quite different, meet seemed a bit more than for beef. Also tasty. Chirashi. I was expecting it will be cold but was pleased when it came as a warm dish 8/10. This dish had different rice (not round grain rice) than what was for donburi. Wakame salads 9/10 would go well with donburi, shame that waiter forgot to bring them sooner. Rolls 9/10 (they had different menu entry for these but couldn't fid it in the online menu) tasty and with good ingredients. I'd take this another time as well. As a dessert I took matcha pancakes cake 10/10. I have missed matcha flavoured food and this perfect, also...

We thoroughly studied the menu before our visit and already had a rough idea of what we wanted to order. On the day of our visit, we couldn’t get the yakisoba, so we tried the following dishes instead: • Kimchi – 9/10: Very tasty! The appetizer is sprinkled with sesame seeds, which perfectly highlight the flavor of the dish. • Pickled radish – 6/10: Felt like something was missing. • Tuna nori taco – 7/10: Crispy nori, a thin layer of rice, and tuna in a creamy mayo sauce. • Gyudon with a side plate of pickled veggies (radish and Asian-style pickled cucumbers) – 8/10: Simply delicious and homey. Tender beef, a generous portion of rice, egg yolk and caramelized onion. • Spicy karaage chicken – 10/10: Spicy-sweet battered chicken thighs. A huge portion — definitely enough for three adults, maybe even four. • Chicken Donburi – 10/10: A large serving of rice, edamame, kimchi and a juicy, crispy chicken thigh.

Really great place — we’d love to come back again.

We ordered bubble tea Miyazaki and Titan Tonic , they were okay, but nothing...

Not great for vegetarians despite a menu with seemingly quite a few vegetarian/vegan options. I saw an old menu of theirs online (not knowing it was outdated) and decided to stop by because they offered some solid vegan options. However, the current options are just variations of rice with mushrooms and avocado (e.g., avocado roll, tempura mushroom roll, mushroom onigiri, rice bowl with a few veggies on top, etc). And while everything was nice (not outstanding but not bad) there was no single dish with a vegetable based protein (in a restaurant from the land that gave the world Tofu and most uses of soybeans). So I left feeling full but unsatisfied because I just had loads of rice with a few veggies for dinner. Additionally, service was SO slow. It took ~40+ mins to get any food, and things like seaweed salad are pre made and should take seconds to plate and serve. So overall, while the place looked very promising, I had a dissatisfying experience and would not recommend it for...
