The restaurant is not what it used to be. We had booked a table for 2 in advance. It was Tuesday, January 14th. We were seated quickly. The waiter immediately gave us the menu. Then we waited for a long time for him to come again to take our order. But imagine our indignation when a group of 6 people came later and the waitress served that group first. I had to get up and call the waiter. We ordered a bottle of champagne and oysters. And I was even more upset that the expensive drink was poured into wine glasses. When I asked to bring champagne glasses, the waitress said that they didn’t have any, they were broken. My husband ordered a salmon steak. They brought an overcooked small slice – half of the piece where decent restaurants serve it whole. And finally, when I ordered oysters again, they served me oysters that easily came off the shell and tasted bitter. Our dinner for two cost 180 euros and I have been lying at home for 4 days with food poisoning and a severe headache. It used to be a great restaurant with great service. Now it is not even pleasant to go to the toilet. I am surprised that with such competition and great establishments, their service and food have only gotten worse...
Read moreStumbling upon this gem of a restaurant in Riga was like reeling in the catch of the day. Specializing in all things fish, this place is a true treasure trove for seafood lovers.
The service? Absolutely top-notch. The staff made me feel like the guest of honor at a royal feast, attentively ensuring every detail was perfect. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days.
The quality of the food? Simply outstanding. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with freshness and flavor.
And the wine? A delightful selection that paired wonderfully with the meal. They certainly know how to pick a good vintage to complement their dishes.
Honestly, I didn't want to leave. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere and the incredible food made it one of those places where you could easily spend the whole evening. It’s the kind of spot you dream about long after you've left.

Read moreWe had very high expectations for this place, both after going through the menu and after some reviews, so it was quite disappointing in the end to find out that the place is not as perfect as we thought it will be. Can't say that the staff was interested in us enough to offer the fast and precise service, and unfortunately the main dish was almost flavorless for the 16€ paid, which is quite a lot for Riga and screams for a better and more intensive taste. The octopus was just okay. Nothing else to say about it. The profiteroles were also a bit out of what we expected to have, more reminding of the Latvian puff pastry with cottage cheese cream than the real French dessert. Apart from that they were quite delicious and fresh, which was nice for sure. We loved the cocktails with gin as a base, they were refreshing and well balanced. The coffee was quite enjoyable too. Would like to put 4 stars, but unfortunately I can't do that after such an expensive but boring food...
