Kauno bokštas, restaurant "Bokštas" — Restaurant in Kaunas

Visited Bokstas on Valentines Day. Very many people in the restaurant, and kitchen was probably very busy. Affordable prices for food and wine. Service, not bad, even on a busy night. However, the food was deplorable. My friend had duck, which came in a overcooked, greyish and unappetizing style. Not freshly cooked. Pieces of duck drowned in some kind of apple marmelade sauce. I had rack of lamb, which held the same quality. Tasted like old and dry meat. Not freshly cooked. Overcooked and tasteless. Probably frozen and warmed in micro before some minutes in a frying pan. They serve better food in any "valgykla"...

Pasirinkome šį restoraną dėl puikios aplinkos, geros atmosferos, tačiau likome nusivylę. Lankėmės darbo dieną - šventėme gimtadienį... visų pirma, tai padavėjos darbas - siaubingas. Nuolatinis mėtymasis, blaškymasis ir vien tik atsiprašinėjimai už klaidingai atneštus gėrimus ar patiekalus. Etikos ir mandagumo/pagarbos klientui trūkumas, šventės metu iš padavėjo "restorane" suklydus užsakymą prie staliuko išgirsti - žargonus (pvz. Bl*mba ir t.t) tikrai nėra nei malonu nei juokinga, visgi randamės ne kaimo užeigoje. Užsakius desertus - kaikuriems šventės svečiams desertai atnešti praradę estetišką išvaizdą (tikrame restorane tokio nepavykusio deserto svečiams net nebūtų patiekiama). Apibendrinant viso vakaro atmosferą ir pasitaikiusius nesklandumus, padavėjos išsiblaškymą - antrą kartą sugrįžti...
