📍 Spot: Saint Malo, Vilnius 💰 Damage: Surprisingly friendly for a classic French gem

⚡ Long Story Short: A slice of France in Vilnius- flawless food, polished service, and a terrace you’ll never want to leave.

THE STORY:

🔥 First Impression: Elegant and timeless-everything from the interior to the terrace whispers “Parisian charm” with Lithuanian precision.

👅 Taste Test: • Flavors: The cappuccino foie gras? Rich, velvety, and indulgent. The beef tartare-a textbook French classic, done exactly right. And the oysters-fresh, briny, and an absolute steal for a place of this level. • Presentation: Sophisticated and precise, matching the cuisine’s classical roots.

💁 Service Check: • Attitude: Impeccable. Arvydas, our waiter, turned service into performance-knowledgeable, warm, and effortlessly charming. • Knowledge: Top-tier. From wine to oyster origins, everything was well explained and passionately delivered.

✨ The Experience: • Highlights: The oyster pool alone is a rare sight in Lithuania. Every detail-from ambiance to plate-is executed with intention. • Letdowns: None. Just pure, classic pleasure.

🏁 Final Verdict: Saint Malo is a French culinary love letter to Vilnius. Go for the oysters, stay...

A terrible experience. I was simply hoping to enjoy a nice Friday night on my own with a good dinner. I arrived today, November 7th, and ended up sitting at my table for 1 hour and 25 minutes without being served my food, while everyone around me was receiving theirs.

I spoke with the hostess, who was extremely kind and professional and said she would check what was happening. A few minutes later, the waiter came and told me the wine would be on the house. I declined, because I wasn’t looking for special treatment I came here for a proper dinner. I arrived hungry, and by the time I had waited that long, my appetite was completely gone. I asked for the bill and even told them that if they wanted to charge me for the dish I never received, they could. In the end, they only charged me for the wine.

Overall, the management of the situation was very poor, and they completely...

Decent food, but terrible service. I understand it's a new restaurant but for the price you pay and the standing they are aiming, it's definitely overpriced. They forgot side dishes and when we notify it they did apologise but it took another 20min to bring which by that time the main course was eaten of course. Then on the bill they charged us full bottle of wine instead of a glass (again they did apologize, refund it us etc). Waitress took my plate before I was finished so had to tell her to leave it. So like other reviews already, there's potential but for now it requires more effort. For the price you pay, staff should be...

French cuisine in the heart of Vilnius. The interior is beautiful and the French wine list is impressive. The oysters were incredibly delicious, and the starters, chestnut cappuccino and bone marrow with black truffles, were really tasty. Unfortunately, the main courses (sole and turbot) felt under-seasoned and lacked character. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Worth a visit if you’re curious, but not quite a top-notch restaurant yet—though I’ll give it another try!

A fine restaurant with a very sophisticated ambiance. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. A good selection of wines at reasonable prices. When we got the bill, we discovered that we had been charged €10 for two different mineral waters we hadn't ordered. The response wasn't what we expected. A shame.
