20 Chulia Lane Cafe — Restaurant in George Town

Me and a group of friends visited this place after randomly searching on Google map. We actually came here after reading one of the comments stating that they have good Wi-Fi. Since we came here for work purposes, we decided to give it a try. This cafe exceeds our expectations. The Wi-Fi speed is good @ 100-130mbps. And the best part is the owner just puts the Wi-Fi password out in the open, you don't even need to walk up to the barista and ask. When we were there, there were no other customers. The ambience is nice with soft and slow music playing in the background. The artworks are a delight to watch. We ordered a pork burger and apple pie. The patty of the pork burger is tender and flavourful. I can smell rose mary and other herbs in there. The greens are fresh and crunchy. The sauce is subtle and not overpowering. The apple pie was our favourite. It is flaky, crumbly and has a nice crust. We like that it is not too sweet. The apple pie is accompanied by a scoop of ice cream. Parking is limited around here. It's best to park far and walk into the small aisle. The staff is friendly.

Convenient location near the main lebuh CHULIA but in a quieter lane, this cozy café has a laid back atmosphere, the déco is cute and the food is awesome although one thing I really don't like from the owner is when he insistingly tried to persuade me to post a good review for his establishment on google. It's a NO NO NO Sir! I don't post anything on your decision! I tell things as they are and if you give a good service, the good reviews will come out by themselves. A wonderfully peaceful cafe. Good background music.Tucked away down Chulia Lane it offers home cooked family food & a bonus is; it bakes sourdough bread as well. I tried the Classic Breakfast. My wife had Spaghetti Aglio Olio. A truly enjoyable, relaxed experience all round. Reasonably priced too. Ideal if one is not in hurry. We shall return soon. Certainly a favourite.
