Chanced upon this coffee shop while I was strolling along the different jetties, looking for breakfast. We ordered different dishes from the various stalls to try: coffee, kaya butter toast (tastewise so-so), chee cheong fun and chicken rice.
Chee cheong fun is quite nice; smooth flat rice noodles are easy to slurp, together with the sauce and sambal at the side.
What was surprisingly delicious here is the chicken rice!! The rice came in an interesting cone shape and is very fragrant with the essence of the chicken. Every rice grain is cooked to perfection and it is not too mushy or not too dry. Perfect. Chicken was delicious too, complemented by the sauce. Generous portion of chicken for 4.20RM. For the soup, I chosed the simple chicken corn soup and it was flavourful too although it looks clear and bland. The other soup was spicy and sour soup which we didn't try.
We had too many Char Kway Teow on this trip so we skipped it here, but I'll come back to try next time.
Do not miss this unassuming coffee shop while you stroll along the jetty. It is very clean, quite well-ventilated with fans, good service and very comfortable to eat in. Come here for your meals after walking along the jetty to refuel...
Read moreWe reached this non-airconditional coffeeshop on weekdays at about 11am. No queue time was needed as 90% of the tables were vacant.
We parked our car opposite the coffeeshop. Limited parking spaces at the roadside.
White wantan mee was slightly above average. Noodle was bouncy, and sauce was good. Wonton was nicely done, but I felt that it lacked the depth in the flavour. RM5.50 was valued for money. 3 stars
Fried wonton at RM6.50 was mediocre. Rich fillings but taste was no surprise to us. 2 stars
Green curry mee was mediocre. In fact, the taste was a bit odd as it was the crossbreed of penang white curry mee and green curry. The ingredients were generous. The small serving was RM7, but I added extra cockles to make up RM10. 2 stars
In conclusion, if nearby and early morning then you can try here for a first-time noble experience. It was quite warm inside when...

Charcoal Fried Kuey Teow, Chee Cheong Fun, Rojak Buah/Fruit Rojak and for drinks, Durian Coffee and Milk Coffee. Absolutely mouth, throat and tummy food winning formula. All of it. My favourite had to be the Rojak Buah. A role play of flavors from the sauce. In and around the varies types of local fruits. Kuey Teow and Chee Cheong Fun. Didn't fail us either. Durian Coffee? Pretty much you get the taste of durian, but really don't know how and what not to the ingredients inside. Will I return to Chew Jetty again? Sure. There's other dishes from other stalls I would...
