FIVELEAF PRESTIGE George Town — Restaurant in George Town

I and my girlfriend went for lunch at about 3.50PM. Before we go, I made a call to confirm weather main course is available or not, which is available according to the staff. So we went there and we ordered Japanese curry rice and seafood curry spaghetti. End up the staff informed us that Japanese curry is not available when we order on the counter and seafood also not available after like 10 minutes which is totally different with what I've been informed in the phone call. After for like 30 minutes, drinks only served and I am the one went down to ask for it, the staff was so chill and doesn't know what to do next. Kinda disappointed that the snacks which was the fries was not hot and it's like left there for 10 min only served to us which I saw they place it in front of the coffee machine. By 4.25PM, only served one of the main dishes, yet the rice is not freshly cooked, it looks like the rice is overnight and just make it a little warm to be served, rice was hard like rock as it keep it in the fridge and unable to split it off even using cutlery. Around 4.45pm only our next main course was served, luckily the spaghetti is not that bad but just the rosemary is not freshly which is black in colour. Overall is just so-so, food preparation need to be fast as it was like almost one hour to wait for our whole order arrived. Service also need to improve cause I informed to one of the staff that is the rice supposedly to be served in hard condition, he said he will get back to me but end up I went down with the rice to seek for advice again from the staff after 5...

Really nice place and loved the descriptions on the menu! Just a shame it was let down by the slow service - wasn't even that busy but took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and we were just looking for a quick bite. Food was lovely, but not great portion sizes (we got the Angry Duck and the Vegetable Salad) so ended up going along the road for more food after.

Nice atmosphere inside, just lacked a bit of a buzz because everyone else was sat silent on their phones, but this isn't the cafe's fault to be fair. If service was normal time, would've been 5 stars, or at least let the customer know beforehand if there's going to be a long...
