Hans Cafe & Deli — Restaurant in George Town

Food is passable. Mix of western and Malaysian cusine. They tried to add a local twist to the western food but the taste and effect left much to be desired. The cream pasta, for example, was filled with onions. It was strange and didn't do anything to enhance the taste. Also, the pesto pasta had such a strong pine nut flavour that it overpowers the entire dish. Pizzas and chicken chop was passable without being too outstanding.

Only dish that was really tasty was the coconut ice cream.

Place is alright if you're not fussy and just want air conditioned...

I often visited this restaurant for lunch usually. But I'm not sure what happened to my last two visits. The last second visit the Pizza taste was tasteless. The last visit the Pizza taste was also terrible and tasteless, I would rather go for Domino's Pizza, and the main course roasted chicken taste was also not the same as before. Moreover, I waited for more than 40 minutes for the roasted chicken while I arrived earlier than other late arrived customers who already got their dish served. I've visited twice for lunch and again for dinner. The meals are reasonably priced and have a decent portion size. The menu is a fusion of Asian and Western meals. For an extra 5myr, you can add a meal deal and have soup of the day starter and a dessert included. My Spaghetti Bolognese with Beef meatballs was nice and at 24myr good value for money. I would've preferred a stronger flavoured parmesan cheese than the dusting of mild grated parmesan cheese. Staff are friendly...
