Seventy7 Bar in Penang offers a mixed experience. Located in a convenient part of town, this bar stands out for its friendly and attentive staff, who make every visit pleasant with their service and hospitality.
The drink menu, features a range of well-crafted cocktails and a decent selection of beers and wines. The prices are reasonable, making it a good spot for both casual nights out.
However, Seventy7 falls short in terms of decor and atmosphere. The interior design is rather plain, lacking the unique character or thematic elements that could make it more inviting and memorable. The lighting is adequate but doesn't create a particularly cozy or vibrant ambiance, which might deter patrons looking for a more engaging or visually appealing setting.
Additionally, the music selection, while not unpleasant, tends to be generic and doesn't contribute much to the overall vibe of the place. Improving these aspects could significantly enhance the overall experience, making Seventy7 a standout venue in Penang's nightlife scene.
In summary, Seventy7 Bar is a solid choice for good drinks and excellent service, but it misses the mark on creating an exciting or visually stimulating environment. With some improvements in decor and ambiance, it has the potential to elevate its standing...

Then there’s about two ladies drinking outside, one lone drinker by the bar top, and group of Caucasian drinking. Not really the kind of bar you expect, let alone on a Friday night.
First time visiting. Arrived at 10.30pm (13 Jan) on a Friday night, rushed in from KL and skipped dinner after check in, afraid that I can’t get a seat. I thought I got into someone’s house since it’s almost like the party is over.
Ended up had a fish and chip with Soju. Bartender and staff are very cute tho hence all stars for them. Ambience was fine despite the empty crowd, maybe it’s a Penang speakeasy bar. Good choice for those who wants to be alone, or have a quiet drink. Not suitable for party-goer or large crowd, or if looking for an establishment to mix, mingle and check each other out and make new friends, which I was there for unfortunately.
Haven’t really been to the bar scene in Penang for three years and perhaps the drinking behavior of locals have changed or perhaps MCO has changed this place’s vibe since the bygone era as reviewed by others in this...
