Siam Social in George Town, Lebuh Noordin — where food meets chill meets “Wait, there’s a pool in this house?!” Yeah, it sounds like I’m pitching a lifestyle brand. But this place really is part café, part restaurant, part bar, part gallery, part event space… and somehow, part of you and the geng.

• Food: Thai-forward, with enough Western options (hello, pizza) to keep the whole table happy. From spicy pork stir-fry to chilled coconut jelly, it’s a rollercoaster of flavour—with zero judgment if you just came for fries.

• Drinks: Pineapple juice topped with passionfruit that could cure bad decisions. Singha beer. Thai cocktails that’ll have you walking out like beautifully confused zombies.

• Space: Cozy shophouse vibes with gallery energy—retro corners, houseplants doing their best, and a rooftop for the brave souls who enjoy sweating next to potted herbs. Also, yes, there’s a legit plunge pool. Because… why not?

• Logistics: PARKING. Right next door. Across the street. Street side if you’re risky. Zero drama. And in George Town? That’s a unicorn.

Would I go solo for a romantic date with myself? Probably not.

Would I come back with friends? Absolutely. It’s called Siam Social for a reason. Bring your people. It’s the kind of place for casual hangs, small parties, or just stretching out dinner into a full evening. You’re never rushed—and in Penang, that’s...

This dining experience was regrettable, primarily due to the following issues:

Poor Service Attitude: Staff members did not smile throughout the service, responded indifferently to customer requests, and failed to proactively recommend dishes—far from the warm hospitality expected of Thai cuisine.

Lack of Ingredient Freshness: Some dishes had noticeably off flavors, likely due to the use of stale ingredients, which compromised the overall taste.

Poor Value for Money: The pricing was on the higher side, yet neither the service nor the food quality met the expected standard.

I advise potential customers to approach online reviews with caution, as there are other Thai restaurants in the area worth considering first. If the management has any concerns regarding this feedback, they are welcome to contact me for further clarification. The above comments are based on an...

Honestly, if you're craving Thai food that hits all the right notes, Siam Social is where you need to be. It’s the perfect spot, every bite makes you feel like you’re eating straight from Bangkok. 🌶️🍜 I’m telling you, it’s not just the food that makes this place a winner. The atmosphere is on point—so chill and welcoming . Whether you're hanging with friends or having a solo foodie adventure, the vibes are always perfect. ✨

You’ll leave not just full, but refreshed, with that warm, satisfied feeling. It's the kind of place where you go in hungry and leave feeling like you just had a mini vacation! 10/10 experience, no doubt...

This is a very good Thai restaurant in town. The tastes of some dishes have been modified to include some local characters, which are surprisingly good. Something different though!. The restaurant was converted from two old houses. The decoration is not excessive, but with style. It has a cozy feel. With its high ceiling and air conditioning, it is very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and explained the dishes to you. They can also adjust the level of spiciness to suit those who cannot eat too spices food. The service was very good.

The environment of this restaurant was really good. Even though not "Siam" enough, I would say the overall presentation was really good. The vibe is really nice. So far the food that we had ordered was good. Especially the Siam Social Thai Chicken, the chicken tastes so good, juicy and flavourful, they balance it up with the fresh greens leaf of mint & basil. Love it. As usual, street parking here is not easy to find, however, there is a private carpark nearby.
