We visited this top-rated Japanese restaurant mainly because of their promotion — RM98 for 5 bottles of Kirin. The signboard outside clearly advertised Kirin, but when the drinks were served, they brought Sapporo instead. When I told the waiter that we ordered Kirin, he confidently replied that they only serve Sapporo. Then why advertise Kirin at the entrance? That’s clearly misleading.
Before making things bigger, I reached out to customer service privately to raise my dissatisfaction. I explained the issue several times, but the response was the same — “we only have Sapporo.” After that, they stopped replying. It felt unprofessional, and I suspect the person on customer service that day was also one of the foreign staff.
To be fair, the restaurant itself looks great. The interior and ambience are very cozy, calm, and enjoyable. But the service attitude left us very uncomfortable. For me and my friend, this is a place we would not return to.
We ordered their signature skewers, which took a very long time to arrive — but since we were busy chatting and drinking, we didn’t really count the minutes. Interestingly, the restaurant had a decent crowd that night, with both locals and tourists. However, we noticed something strange: when about three to four new customers came in asking for a table, the foreign waiter told them they would need to wait over an hour for skewers. Some walked away disappointed. At first, I thought maybe the kitchen was overwhelmed. But later, when I walked past the kitchen to the restroom, I saw the chef inside wasn’t even doing anything.
So why turn customers away and claim the wait is too long? Is this the way the owner trained the staff, or is the owner completely unaware? Honestly, it looked like the staff were sabotaging the business.

Ordered unagi buta rice ,dude thinking I’m a vacuum maybe ,suck in all the rice and meat ,totally no sauce at all ?seriously ?if ur an adult can u accept it and eat it smoothly?moreover this was eaten by kids ,the rice is not good also it’is too dry ,who from the earth can eat this ? Second, we also ordered fried chicken with tartar sauce, it's very obvious it's microwaved, outside cold inside lava hot. Tastes ok. Stingy with sauce. We also ordered fried prawn side, it's great but jesus christ the sauce is so little.
Third, probably under staffed, most of the food will take an average of 45-50 min. it will be cold the moment it's in front of you, and if it's hot, it's microwaved. Imagine paying this much to get all your food microwaved here and there.
Forth, the sticks are pretty good, just 1 big problem, too stingy with sauces, like it cost them a fortune to put on the sticks, and if you require more, just pay RM2 extra for the sauces.
Fifth, great deco, great place to chat and chill, just the food is pretty darn disappointing
Sixth, their app is terrible, also slow and bugged, repeated our order twice, then during payment, they didn't cancel the repeated order in the total bill which they asked us about the repeated order before they serve the food.
