Kitty and I were craving some local Penang fare, and based on the rave reviews on Google and our own past experiences, we knew we had to visit Super Star Chicken Feet Koay Teow Soup 天皇卤味. This place is a must-try when you're in Georgetown, and it definitely lived up to the hype!

We knew there would be a wait, and it was true. We waited about 20 minutes, but it was worth it. The service was super fast, though, even though the place was packed. We ordered the kway teow soup with chicken feet, which is their signature dish. The chicken feet were so tender and soft, they practically melted in our mouths. The soup and gravy were bursting with flavor. We also saw people ordering the A5 set, which includes braised pork belly and intestine, but we decided to stick with the kway teow soup since we wanted to try other stalls and sample all the delicious food Georgetown has to offer.

The atmosphere was bustling, with locals and tourists alike enjoying the delicious food. The service was friendly and efficient, and we felt very welcome.

Overall, we'd highly recommend Super Star Chicken Feet Koay Teow Soup 天皇卤味 to anyone visiting Penang. It's a truly authentic Penang experience, and the food is absolutely incredible. You won't miss it as you walk down the street because the super long queue will be...

Typical Michelin experience. You thought the food was going to be good, and then something just ruins the whole thing.

The quantity is very little, but for 6RM just for kway teow, it's fantastic. The braised intestines taste great, but I don't consider it to be of a high standard, especially when reviews say it's very good. The amount given is also very small. They also missed out giving me a braised egg because they were trying to rush out the food to the patrons. Turns out food is just short of high quality value for money food.

Best to just take away the food. The seats they take you to for eat-in? They will scam you to buy the more expensive option. Once seated the place shoves a dessert and drinks menu to your face and demands you to order. When I asked for the 2RM Ice tea even though the soup was sufficient, out of courtesy, they had the galls to say no more tea, no more milk tea no more coffee, only the 2 most expensive options were available. If I knew, I'd rather just eat beside the road. Saw other patrons get targeted as well, where one had Chagee, refused to buy drinks but still forced to buy the most expensive option anyway because they blatantly wanted to squeeze money out.

Overall experience ruined for what is supposed to be "fantastic" kway teow.

The Braised Chicken Feet is a star & recommended food here. Koay Teow Soup for me was just normal. The Braised Chicken Feet was not show mentioned in any picture but only text at the menu . The Braised Chicken Feet was soft, juicy and succulent texture, they are able to soak more flavor while being braised compared to the rest of the chicken’s meat. If you are a Chicken Feet lover, do try them here. Otherwise, you can try their Braised Chicken Wing, Chicken Meat or Eggs.
