First and foremost, this was always a place i wanted to partonized. So decided to give it a try today (15/06/25) as it was Father’s Day. Greeted by the a good number of customers sitting in it. We ordered 1 portion of All Day Special (with rice and fries as side dish) and a Chicken Napolitana comes with FOC Mushroom Soup (cold when reached us) Waited for a good period of time, the All Day Special arrived. Quickily ask for sharing plate as my kid is hungry, we gave him the fries to start (was cold, even a fast food joint McDonalds serves us hot fries) scoop some rice, scrambled eggs and mini sausages. After that, i cut up the Grilled Chicken Chop and found out it was still uncooked. Called the waiter and ask, she took it back and told us it will be replaced but need to wait 15minutes (we agreed as not to spoil the Father’s Day atmosphere) 5-10 minutes later the Chicken Napolitana arrived. We took a bit and it trully disappoint us. The flavours was nothing except canned tomato paste with minced meat taste. It was bland. Right after that, the Refire Grilled Chicken arrived (my god and it really caught on fire, refer to the photo) Immediately call the server to give me the bill and ask them to take a look how to eat such BURNT chicken (or its just me, not knowing the NEW STYLE OF GRILLED CHICKEN) They offered to void the All Dat Special and we said yes. I recently visited Aston Specialist at Paradigm Mall, Johor Bahru. While browsing the menu, I was so happy to see that they had baked potato as a side dish it’s one of my all time favourites. This was actually one of the main reasons I decided to dine here.

After placing my order with the baked potato as my side, one of the staff members informed me that it was unfortunately sold out. I was a little disappointed but decided to replace it with mushroom soup instead.

A short while later, Manager Zik came over to check if everything was okay. I told him everything was fine, but mentioned I was just a little sad about the baked potato being unavailable. The manager immediately apologized and left.

To my surprise, within just a minute, he returned and told me that they never want their customers to leave unhappy. He asked me to give them a few minutes, and they would prepare the baked potato for me after all.

Hats off to Manager Zik and the team this gesture truly made my day. It turned what could have been a small disappointment into a wonderful dining experience. His professionalism, kindness, and dedication to customer satisfaction deserve special praise. This is the kind of service that makes customers want to return again and again.

Place: Nice ambience with a twist of western cowboy flavour to the decor and wild west theme. Most furniture is wood based and hard.

Service: disappointed to say the least. Took them a good 15 minutes before the menu arrived, even then it was after multiple calls. Was told to "hold on" on many occasions too when ready for order. Otherwise, nothing nice to say about the service.

Food:

1. Lemon lime chicken (RM26.90): the chicken was cooked to moisture perfection and the sauce complements the chicken wonderfully. I'd dare say the chef ONLY knows how to cook chicken. Lol. Loved the coleslaw. The baked potato was NOT worth my time. Verdict: recommended for chicken lovers.

2. ASTONS cheese burger (RM32.90): the buns were dry and hard, the beef patty was also dry and overly well done (would have preferred medium, but not given the option), the absence of any vegetables or tomato, notable sauce of any kind, makes this dish a wasted calories. Literally just cheese and beef. And fries. Verdict: for this price, super NOT worth it.

3. Chargrilled chicken (RM26.90): again, another well done dish as its chicken based. Wedges was OK. Verdict: OK la...nothing special about the sauce here. So-so.

4. Cream of Mushroom soup (RM6.90): thick and tasty, filled with mushroom bits, but a wee bit small portion. Verdict: too small a portion to...
