I recently visited this Korean restaurant and tried a variety of dishes. The Spicy Tteokbokki was decent, leaning a bit on the sweeter side with a hint of spice, but I’ve had better. The portion was fine, though the egg topping was disappointing—just two thin slices, and the yolk tasted as if it had been prepared a couple of days ago. It also had some cabbage mixed in, adding a bit of texture. The dish came with three types of banchan (side dishes): the kimchi was okay, the corn-carrot mix wasn’t to my liking, and the veggie side was average.
The Cheese Bibimbap was underwhelming. The chicken didn’t seem fully cooked, and the sauce didn’t do much for the flavor. I’d rate it around 4 or 5 out of 10, and I wouldn’t order it again.
Lastly, the Chicken Kimbap tasted off, with a strange flavor that I couldn’t quite identify—possibly old chicken, which made it a definite no for me. I’d rate it a 3 out of 10, and I wouldn’t order it again.
Overall, the Tteokbokki was the best of the three, and I might consider ordering it again, but I’d skip the bibimbap and kimbap next time. Will be back to try other...
Read moreHad my lunch here with colleagues and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Spicy Fried Chicken: The fried chicken, which is often a highlight at Korean eateries, was served cold. The lack of warmth made it unappetizing and took away from the expected crispiness and flavor. The taste also disappointed.
The kimbap was clearly microwaved, which was quite disappointing. The rice was dry, and the overall texture was far from the fresh and vibrant kimbap I anticipated, no sesame oil taste, soft seaweed and taste sour
The tteokbokki, a staple Korean street food, was also served cold. This dish is meant to be enjoyed hot, with a chewy texture and a spicy kick, but the cold temperature rendered it unappealing and difficult to enjoy, the sauce is watery, and literally you can drink from it.
The overall taste of the food was plain and lacked the authenticity that one would expect from Korean cuisine. The flavors were not as bold or as rich as they should be, making the dining experience quite underwhelming. My first time, and...
Read moreSaw this good looking restaurant and friendly staff greeted us so went in and try on a quiet weekday lunch set for 2 and I supposed what the trend is set nowadays frozen chicken wing dip in different sauce and you fry it seafood soup with frozen squids clams prawns that turned a bit bad to my taste but the beef was marinated to a nice tender juicy delight alas that portion was ridiculously small, you call that a set for 2? 🤔 free flow side dish haha I won’t even ask for extra kimchi it’s just vinegar+vege Although the friendly staff gestures and smiles for return customer but I won’t be the one. The extra 1 Star is meant...
