Disappointing Christmas Eve Buffet at Caprilicious

Dear Capri Hotel Management,

I wanted to share my experience at your Christmas buffet dinner at Caprilicious, as it fell far short of expectations, especially for a festive celebration.

The food spread was underwhelming for the price range of $150–$160 per person. The seafood selection was limited to prawns and crayfish, which was quite disappointing given the festive occasion. Additionally, key dishes, like the turkey, ran out quickly and weren’t replenished in a timely manner. The overall replenishment of the buffet line was notably slow, leaving guests waiting and often disappointed.

The spaghetti station became a bottleneck, with long queues that made it impractical to enjoy. The desserts were another letdown—everything had run out by 8 PM, just an hour after the buffet started, with no signs of replenishment.

While the carolling was a highlight and truly added some holiday cheer, it wasn’t enough to offset the poor dining experience.

I’m unsure if this was your first Christmas buffet, but it felt underprepared and poorly managed. Unfortunately, I don’t feel the experience was worth the price, and it’s unlikely I’ll return for future festive events.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Caprilicious, Capri Hotel JB, and I wanted to take a moment to commend and applaud, Ms Joanne, Yugenraj, Geetika, and Harun Din during my time having dinner in Caprilicous Restaurant on 7 June 2024.

Their customer service are outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious, with every dish crafted to perfection. The flavors were exquisite and truly memorable. Loving it.....

Moreover, the customer service was exceptional. Each of them contributed to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that all our needs were met with a smile. Their attentiveness and professionalism did not go unnoticed and greatly enhanced our dining experience.

A special thank you to Joanne for coordinating for the staff to sing and playing the birthday song for me. I was shocked and happy at the same time, and it made my day truly unforgettable.

Thank you for providing such a delightful and memorable meal. I look forward to visiting again soon and yes Caprilicous Restaurant is highly recommended for all ages..with their variety of food and cuisine to choose from. You won't regret.

First time buka puasa here. Thought can enjoy the taste of Malaysia but disappointed.

By 730,the food finish because many breaking fast and whack food. Plate topup till full.

Food: range nice OK but didn't top up most of it! By 730pm, most food all gone. No wonder many people top up plate until overload before azan buka because they know no topup for many food.

Teh trek finish, I see their staff also drink. Never top up.

Ketam, prawn, sotong, western food all never top up.

Service: slow to top up plates, utensil and cups. Clear ok quite fast.

Atmosphere: music too loud. Lower volume to eat in peace. But nice band,...
