Read moreWe visited the Petronas towers in the evening, and found this place to eat afterwards.
There didn't seem to be a lot happening, but we were told it was open, sat down and were given a menu.
Pictures were good, as we had limited knowledge of what we were ordering.
The food came in two lots, most of it first, and then the fish delivered a bit later.
The food was tasty and well cooked, with generous portions, that we didn't manage to finish. We had toothpick lamb, braised fish in brown sauce, cabbage with mushroom and hot fried rice.
Service was casual and not as good as it could have been. We ordered a jug of orange juice, which was very good, and mineral water. The mineral water didn't come, we had to request it again and when it came it was two small warm bottles without glasses.
A service charge was added to the bill, I didn't remember seeing it on the menu, but it may have been.
Prices were very reasonable by UK standards, but were the most expensive we have had in Malaysia so far. It's location so close to the Petronas towers may have contributed to that. Disappointingly the view of the towers was blocked by a stall in front of...
Read moreFor some unknown reason, the restaurant was packed. And there comes the problem.
The food delivery was slow and somewhat without proper operational procedures, and it was observed some customers who arrived later would receive side dishes, while some earlier customers have to wait.
When it comes to food portion and taste, the food was one of the worst mee tarik I have tasted, with the noodle being soggier than other mee tarik restaurants I have tried before. The broth was tasteless, and the side dishes were just pathetic. The only saving grace was that the portion was generous, and this is the only good thing I could think of this Chinese muslim restaurant.
As we finish and proceed to payment, their order registry system was offline, and the waiter was trying to coerce and insist us to pay for other table items we didnt order by showing us previous receipts printed. I almost lost my cool to argue on the orders and this is just unprofessional for insisting us order food we didnt order.
This definitely deserves my personal Top 10 Most Not Recommended Place to Visit...
