Bar.B.Q Plaza @ Berjaya Times Square KL — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I recently visited this bar b q plaza at level 3 BTS for mookata buffet dinner. While the food was generally good, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The atmosphere and environment were far from enjoyable. The seating was incredibly narrow, making it uncomfortable to move around or even sit for long periods. It felt cramped, which significantly detracted from the dining experience. Their seemingly table of 4 can only fit 2 people comfortably. Imagine the table is a standard size table, with a cook top on the table plus whatever raw dishes ordered on the table, it pretty much leaves no space for my personal plates and bowl. Can't really enjoy my food in this cramped environment.

Additionally, the ordering system was quite restrictive. You had to order everything via a mobile phone, which was inconvenient, especially when trying to ask for specific requests or adjustments. The lack of flexibility in the ordering process felt impersonal and a bit frustrating.

On the positive side, the food was tasty. How can you go wrong with cooking food on BBQ plus hotpot by yourself? No skill required. However, the uncomfortable seating and rigid ordering system made it hard to fully enjoy the meal. My boyfriend and I went to the shop yesterday, they chose the table for us which is right under the AC . And they gave us QR code . But We both are not comfortable sitting at that table so my boyfriend requested the waiter to changed the table for us . Then the waiter said cannot change the table already bcoz they already gave us the QR code . So then my boyfriend talked to the manager , hoping he could help and yet the manager also said the same thing and he's even worst. His manners is terrible . That manager was rude and all the staffs there are unfriendly . The manager told my boyfriend like, " Cannot change the table , if you don't want it's up to you , you can leave " . What kind if manners is that??? Customer has right to request. And we didn't even requested something not logic also . We requested small thing also they responded to their customers with such a rude manners. What a rude people working there. I would rate 0 for this shop . I wish their boss read this...

alright, let me tell you about the manager. when i was there, he replied curtly. no hint of hospitality. even the staffs were more hospitable compared to him.

as for the food... yeah it was cheap enough for RM 60++ per pax, unlimited refill. but that's it. not much of meat selection (only the topping differs). the BBQ sauce provided is bad if it's stand-alone, you better ask for additional green thai sauce (forgot the name actually) mix with the BBQ sauce and you're ready to dip dip.

seafood (fish slice, shrimp, etc) was fresh. shrimp was especially nice. if you're a cheese lover, don't forget to place an order of cheese sauce. it's a mix of cheese-nacho style sauce & mozzarella.
