Company Townhall & Diwali Lunch — 5 November 2025
This year’s Diwali townhall wasn’t about long speeches or heavy slides. It felt more like a quiet exhale after a stretch of long weeks — a midweek breather that reminded everyone why shared moments matter as much as shared goals.
The venue, Barbeque Nation at Pavilion, set the right tone right away. Warm lights, cheerful staff in motion, the scent of spices and grilled meat hanging in the air — all of it felt inviting. You could tell it was going to be a good day just from the buzz of voices spilling out from the tables inside.
The buffet was a story of its own. From the live grill counters to rows of curries simmering in clay pots, there was something for everyone — and a little too much for some. The naan stayed warm, the tandoori crisped perfectly, and the desserts… well, let’s just say a few of us made more than one trip.
But beyond the food, what stood out was the company. People who are usually deep in emails and Teams calls were now talking about family trips, Netflix series, weekend markets. Laughter came easy. The usual roles blurred — engineers, managers, support teams — all just people enjoying a meal together.
The townhall blended smoothly into it all. Updates were shared with just enough formality to keep things grounded. Then came the Long Service Awards, a small ceremony that meant more than it looked. Seeing colleagues being recognised for ten years of dedication brought a quiet sense of pride — like witnessing time made visible.
Walking around, I caught myself thinking how these simple gatherings tend to do more for morale than any grand announcement. No slides, no formal agenda — just a table shared between people who’ve weathered targets, projects, and late nights together. There’s comfort in that kind of familiarity.
As lunch wound down and the chatter softened, I found myself pausing near the entrance, watching the red BN sign glow through the glass. The warmth of the moment lingered. It wasn’t about the buffet or the awards — it was about being reminded that this company is, at its core, a community.
And maybe that’s what Diwali is really about — light that reaches beyond celebration,...
Read moreBarbecue Nation Pavilion Kuala Lumpur offers a delightful dining experience that pleasantly surprised me during my recent visit. Having visited around seven different Barbecue Nation outlets during my four years in India, I was genuinely excited to discover that this popular restaurant chain has made its way to Malaysia. The ambiance at Pavilion KL is lively and welcoming, creating a perfect setting for groups and families alike. The restaurant was quite full when I visited, which reflected its popularity and the quality of the food and service. Although the place was busy, the staff maintained a friendly and courteous attitude throughout my meal. Their warm hospitality was apparent and much appreciated. However, I noticed that the staff’s reaction time tended to be a bit slow, especially given how packed the place was. While they were polite and professional, quicker service would certainly enhance the overall dining experience. I hope this aspect improves as the restaurant adapts further to local demand. The wide variety of grilled items and buffet options offered the classic Barbecue Nation variety I enjoyed in India. The quality and taste of the dishes were consistent with the chain's reputation, pleasing my palate with flavorful and well-prepared meats and sides. The live grill concept remains a highlight, allowing diners to enjoy freshly cooked options right at their table.Overall, Barbecue Nation Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is a highly recommended spot for anyone craving a robust barbecue buffet in an energetic and friendly environment. It’s reassuring to see this trusted brand thrive in Malaysia. With some improvements in service speed, it will surely become an even more enjoyable dining destination. My experience was positive, and I look forward to returning on my next visit to...

When I wrote the original review about 2 years ago, I did mention that I will return for another food escapade here. Well, last Sunday I did to celebrate my wedding anniversary (early celebration).
What is there to say more? The service is still TOP NOTCH! The staff are super attentive and very accomodative. They explained clearly on how the grill food is served and the type of grill item being placed.
Apart from that, we were lucky to have catched their Grand Trunk Road festival which was originally supposed to end on 3 Nov but extended to 10 Nov (the day we went). The atmosphere was ecstatic! I loved how the other patrons enjoyed by dancing to the awesome Bhangra beats by the duo performers. Me and my wife were thrilled to experience it!
The food was SUPERB as always! Their price continue to be very affordable (albeit a slight hike than before) with the UNLIMITED grill and choices of buffet food, it's a steal!
To add into our delight, when we were about to exit after payment, the staff manning the front desk asked us to wait and wallah! They brought a cake and had us celebrate our anniversary! This is a huge sweet surprise for us! To be honest, I did inform when making the reservation that I will be there to celebrate anniversary but as with other places, I thought they won't bother about it. Barbecue Nation made a sweet moment for me and my wife! Plus, they even had our photo taken outside the outlet and printed! At this point, I was almost crying out of joy as I didn't expect their extra service as much as this. P/s: the anniversary cake was FREE!!
Please try out BARBECUE NATION! You will...
