Bröom At Bukit Bintang — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

My friend and I chose to have brunch here after seeing the beautiful photos and wanting to try their vegan options. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was really disappointing (very noisy, crammed in small tables and stools) so we did not have a good experience.

Here are some problems I noticed with this place and this is my feedback for the business:

① Most of the tables are far too small for dining in. Our table did not have enough space for two plates, two glasses, a water pitcher and one coffee. Invest in bigger seating arrangements or avoid seating dine-in customers at these grade school desks (reserve these for customers ordering just coffee and snack)

② I think the staff here are lovely (especially the host) and they work very hard, but this place seems under-staffed. It was strange that we were seated with a menu at the table, but no one instructed us to place our orders at the register, so we were just sitting at our crammed table like 👁️👄👁️. I noticed another couple sat next to us were also confused and waiting to have their orders taken. I prefer quality over quantity. If there are not enough staff to support the business sufficiently, adjust the customer intake accordingly, ya.

③ The food and coffee was just okay and doesn't match the visuals or the price. I had the Mushroom Rice Bowl - I think there are too many flavors clashing with each other; also, this would be much much tastier with Japanese rice (or other moist, sticky rice) - because it's not pleasant to have so much dry rice (maybe the portions...

Beautiful interior, exterior, excellent service. Staffs really care for us and make sure we're comfortable the whole time, however the food & drinks wasn't the best (or maybe I have high hope since the place is beautiful). My mocha was ok, the chocolate they use is so nice but the coffee suck. Green apple juice is nice. Chicken in Chikin & Wafuru so tender & nicely battered, love the waffles it's light but also heavily seasoned overall it's nice but wasn't something I would order again bcs It's quite jelak even I share with 2 other friends. Asian loaded fries was nice taste quite the same with chikin wafuru but in fries, fries so crispy it hurts my jaw I kinda lost interest after awhile bcs of the pain I'm having. Mushroom Olio Pasta is ok, I'm not a fan of olio but my friend said it was nice and again quite jelak. The croissant may look delicious but it wasn't the best, it's flaky but taste wise very bland. Maybe it was meant for filling croissant bcs our lemon meringue croissant is nice but wayyyy sweet for us.

Very limited menu, price wise cafe standard, all of our food is quite jelak maybe need improvement in term of food taste & quality to make them balance. Downstairs chair are so uncomfortable my back hurts from sitting but luckily the staff let us switch to another table. Would I come again? Probably no but if they improve their food quality I'll give it...

The place looks beautiful at first glance, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The chairs and tables were uncomfortable, making it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. We had to wait a long time for our food, and when it finally arrived, it didn’t meet expectations.

I ordered the “Chikin & Waffulu” with a Hazelnut Praline Latte. The waffles were tasty and the dish was filling, but everything else was a letdown. The eggs were cold, and the chicken had bits of cartilage in it, which completely ruined the texture. The drink was overly sweet and honestly undrinkable — I couldn’t finish it.

Another downside was the pricing. The meals were already expensive, and on top of that, we were charged an extra 10% just for dining in, which felt unreasonable. To make things worse, the staff asked us to pay before we even started eating. I had to point out that in places that present themselves as upscale, it’s normal to pay after the meal, not before. It felt unprofessional and really out of place.

After the meal, both my wife and I had stomach cramps, which was very concerning. Based on our experience, I can unfortunately agree with many of the negative reviews here. I would not recommend this place — unless you just want to take a few pictures of the nicely presented food. But if you’re looking for good food, comfort, and value, this is not...
