I’m a durian person. For me, going to Malaysia without durian? Impossible. Haha
After I tried Black Thorn, I feel like my taste buds betrayed me. now I can’t accept any other durian. I hate it… but I love it. 🤭 Yeah still ok for musangking.
And, Because I’m picky, I don’t just look for duria. I look for a place where I feel safe, comfortable enough as a I go alone, and not cheated on price. Durian is not cheap, so I want to make sure I pay for the right thing.
And that’s why Dury Dury is such a gem. The place is soooo clean, I honestly got confused whether I was in a durian shop or a café. Very different from the usual messy, sticky durian stalls. The staff were super patient too. Eeven when I asked the most basic question like, “Why is the color different from what I usually eat?” They didn’t laugh, but explained kindly about the fruit’s age and even let me taste one piece first. If I didn’t like it, they would let me switch to another variety I preferred. That’s what I call service with respect.
So if you’re a durian lover like me, picky yet curious, this is the place where you can enjoy durian without worry, without mess, and without regret. And a gentle reminder to all durian fans: respect the staff’s effort and knowledge—they make your durian experience...
Read moreI had the pleasure of trying both Musang King and Black Thorn durians at Dury Dury, and they were absolutely incredible.
Musang King: The rich, creamy flesh with its signature bittersweet flavor was an experience to remember. The bright golden-yellow color and small seeds meant more delicious flesh, which had a perfectly balanced mix of sweetness and slight bitterness. The strong aroma might be intense for some, but it’s a true mark of quality for durian lovers.
Black Thorn: Equally impressive, the Black Thorn had a sweeter, more indulgent taste with a creamy, slightly sticky texture. The aroma was less overpowering than Musang King, making it a great choice for those new to durians. The dark golden-yellow flesh was thick and delicious, with a high flesh-to-seed ratio.
Overall, both varieties were exceptional, but if I had to choose, the Musang King edges out slightly for its complex flavor profile. However, the Black Thorn is a close contender with its sweeter, milder taste. Highly recommend trying both if you...
Read moreDurian lovers, this is your paradise! I had the Musang King (D197) at Dury Dury, and it was everything you'd hope for from a premium durian experience. The flesh was rich, golden, and irresistibly creamy—bittersweet with that iconic Musang King punch. 😍🌰
Each pod was plump, buttery, and had a deep, satisfying aroma that hit just right. The texture was luscious and custard-like—basically melted in the mouth. No signs of overripe or underripe pieces, which shows their quality control is spot on.
The shop was clean and durian-focused, with clear signage, chill ambiance, and even labels on the durian itself—making it great for first-timers or enthusiasts tracking their varieties.

Top-grade, freshly opened Musang King
