Heyo it’s me Solarance again and today I’m sharing my experience with Breakfast Spot! And this time, with my one of my bestie.. Ms Al~ so here’s our feedback šŸ‘šŸ» 1- so I ordered the omelette with ham and it’s really nice and fluffy ā¤ļø flavour profile not bad but I think it’s a bit too expensive for just egg + cheese and ham.. so I’d give my dish 4/5 because of the price.. everything else was good šŸ‘šŸ» 2- so my friend Ms Al ordered the salmon toast and she told me it was delightful and she enjoyed it. Salmon was perfectly seasoned and smoked and the dish was presented beautiful. Like art on a dish ā¤ļø feel kinda bad to eat it haha. Her advice, if u wanna eat the garnish, spread it around.. don’t eat the whole flower cuz it’s really strong šŸ˜‚ but the price is still too much too cuz it’s only toast with salmon and the price is close to 30.. 4/5 for the dish šŸ‘šŸ» 3- For drinks we both ordered the matcha but one is the roasted one.. and we both agreed the drink is delish and would not fault the dish at all 5/5 4- atmosphere is gorgeous and very comfortable šŸ‘šŸ» they even have a singer there and it’s quite relaxing.. a bit loud but comfortable. Totally 5/5 for this.. 5- service wise, great and they even have Walkie talkies on their servers cuz they got 2 floors so to ensure perfect service, the servers are always updated with status ā¤ļø Overall, this place is not bad.. a bit overpriced but then again, everything in KL is a bit overpriced haha.. I’d totally recommend coming here for breakfast if u don’t mind splurging a bit šŸ‘šŸ» if not, there are better options that are cheaper šŸ‘šŸ»

New cafe in Bukit Bintang with the glasshouse effect. Visited on the 2nd day of opening. Had pancake with berries, almond and vanilla ice cream on top but its a bit dry. I could hardly finish it. Could be better with some honey butter syrup. Love the rose latte and its delicate pink rose scent. Cafe is spacious and green dominates it. It’s stunning - it used to be a guesthouse and the second floor has a cozy atmosphere with the view of the leafy neighborhood of Sin Chew Kee. Although i didnt enjoy my food, i love the service of the staff - shes so attentive and always refill my glass of water, when i opened my laptop she immediately come to me to provide me the password without me asking. Gestures like this made me appreciate her. I cant recall her name but thanks to her. They also use the Menu qr code where u can add ur order to the cart and still need to go to the counter to pay. Im assuming that i could make my payment online as well without having to go to the counter. I mean i dont mind going there its pretty near but i expected it to be like other restaurants / cafe who uses this platform will instantly make u settled your payment right off the bat. Maybe they can enhance this in the next couple of days/ weeks since its still early and they’re still adjusting to the opening. Other than that I still love this cafe cause of the service and beautiful concept. I probably swing by whenever I’m In this area. Maybe ill try other breakfast / brunch food or dessert that looks so tempting the next time round.

This is by far one of the worst cafes I’ve been to in KL. I understand that it’s new and all but come on man, have a bloody system. Let’s start with the waiting queue: I don’t mind waiting. But, at least have a staff manning the front where the line is. Tables are not cleaned fast and a group just randomly came in and sat at an empty table while there were a bunch of us waiting at the queue. Had I not alerted the staff, this people would have happily ordered and eaten while the rest of us still had to wait. Second: number of staff is lacking. From where I’m seated, I can clearly see piles of unwashed cups and glasses. We have been waiting for nearly 30 mins and we haven’t even gotten our drinks yet. What kind of cafe is this? Why call yourself Breakfast Spot? It’s more like a Hunger Spot or Sloth Spot! Urgh! Third: There is no sense of urgency from the baristas. They are taking their own sweet time preparing the drinks. If it’s a slow day, I understand. But it’s a bloody lunch crowd! So so disappointing! Will NEVER come back here and I will suggest no one to come here either! Also, my friend and I ordered the same DIY breakfast set. Not only did they serve it on the same plate, thinking it’s a double portion order, when we asked them where is the other order, they had the audacity to say ā€œsorry, this is both of your orders on one plateā€. Just look at the photos. When my friend and I divided the food, look the portion. We are paying RM28 each for that meagre portion! What the hell!!

Okay so first off. I chose this place solely based on the images from google. I didn’t check the reviews at all. The images checked out my requirements, it was cute, looked cozy, and had good looking food and drinks. I was very excited to go here.

The accessibility to the location is quite bad. There’s no parking or anything so that’s something you’ve got to keep in mind.

As soon as we walked in staff did not greet us. We had to ask to be seated, and only then they checked and asked us to go to the table at the back.

Before getting seated one of the staff were trying to fix the table. I think there was a misalignment with the table and he didn’t acknowledge that we were just standing there. He didn’t say sorry, he didn’t ask us to sit down or anything after he was done. At first I didn’t really care about it,.

So there was a QR code we had to scan on the table and the staff said that we should be done eating out meals within 20 minutes. I just don’t understand why he said it, at first I thought he said the order will be prepared in 20mins. But I asked again and he said we needed to leave in 20.

It was so absurd but we decided to still have our food, take out time and then leave. We tried to order using the QR code and it only showed payment via card. I only had cash on me.

So i asked the staff what I could do and he kept stalling say we don’t have change and I said that they can keep the change I don’t mind, and then in the very last moment he accepted cash and gave me the change aswell. I’m honestly feeling really weird at this point. The staff was so off putting and the vibes were just not it.

The meal was not that great. Not the best value for money if I’m being honest. I had a matcha rose latte, which I loved. The tiramisu tart was just too hard. No flavor at all. The eggs Benedict was okay, the salad that came with it was just washed and not dried. It had no dressing. Literally had a lot of water on it. The carbonara was okay. It wasn’t bad.

Overall, we didn’t finish our food completely and we left within 20 minutes I guess. No one smiled and said goodbye, as expected.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Staff is super stuck up, the place is cute and all. And in my personal opinion I feel like the drinks are the only thing that’s worth to have here.

Never...

I really wanted to like this place. It looked nice from the outside, the front had a lot of light which I love, and we were planning to spend more time and order more dishes.

But the first experience threw me off. The service personnel was impersonal and not welcoming, too hip and cool maybe in her nonchalance, and when I asked for the music to be turned down just a bit as it was too loud, the automatic response was a curt "oh no, we can't, it's set by the boss and it cannot be changed". It surprised me as I used to run a cafe and if my staff spoke in that manner to a new customer, she would not be doing that again. Only when I told her I had difficulty having a conversation with the loud music (which was a good selection of tracks actually) she said she would try but it didn't seem she did (or at least it didn't get noticeably softer) until another customer from Australia next to me said the same thing.

The food was bland for me, not something I would come back for, but the coffee was decent.

The gentleman next to me said the food was good, so my experience could have been just for what we ordered, and other dishes we didn't order could be really good.

So instead of staying longer, we left and moved across the street to another cafe in the white building across called Three Years Old.

The service experience was the exact opposite - friendly, helpful, music was just nice to serve as a background to the overall experience. I'm writing this without trying the coffee and pastries yet, but I know this is a place I would return to, instead of the Breakfast Spot. The energy is different, the feeling is different, and it feels much more welcoming and comfortable here - just from crossing the street 10 steps away.

So yeah, it's not only the location, the design and the offerings - it's the people, and how they see and...

This is the second time I am in breakfast spot. I love this cafe, the matcha, the food (although it was not up the standard but I am willing to spend. But today is going to be my last here. I wish to come back, but the poor irrational treatment I received was certainly a bad experience for us.

We came together 3 of us thinking of having the best breakfast in a new chic cafe in town together. We have a baby with us. And we were given a very small table to fit all the beautiful delicacies. So we have to take turn. We can’t eat together. Our breakfast was ruined.

We did request for the next table (bigger because it is empty). We requested for a reason, a very valid reason. We are three with a toddler and it is very unsafe for us (we worried the table fall and all our food and cutleries fall down). Yet they said it was reserved. We were ok. A chinese elderly couple came and sat. After a few moments they change table. We requested again since they change. We are not allowed to do that. Is that because we are malay and being treated with inequality? Yes we thought we were not given the privilege to change because pf our race because the chinese before that can do that. Please, we are in 2022. Please be rational. The table was so small, your plates were big, and you have many food choices and coffee. We requested because we felt unsafe and the table was damaged, it was not stable!

When a family with a baby came to your beautiful cafe, do consider the size of your tables. We are not having breakfast in warung mind you. All of you are professionals. Please prove that.

Let us enjoy the breakfast with ease and not fear of...
