What a classic Cantonese restaurant. So regret to never visit this restaurant even I am at this shopping mall so many times.

Today, decided to try something different, found them on Google Maps, Wow! This was possibly the neighborhood canteen. Not that touristy like others. That's surprised me.

Yes. We are damn lucky today able to try this old school Chinese restaurant. Tips for all, especially first timer, just order their popular dishes.

First, we have their popular RM77.50 Claypot Curry Fish Head, it was damn delicious yet flavourful, curry have it own unique flavors. Fish head not served in whole, they chopped it in small pieces, is much easier to eat. Based ingredients was quite a lots of variety of vegetables. Very comfort curry, best eat tiwth white rice. Yum. 😋

Second dish that surprises us is the RM28.80 Three Cup Chicken 三杯鸡 it was a dishes come with very unique flavours especially the added unique cooking wine. That really added alots of Umami flavours to the dish. An unforgettable taste.

We do ordered a popular vegetable dish called Four Heavenly King of Veggies at RM26.80. Stir-fry four different type of vegetables ~ Petai, Long beans, Lady fingers and Egg plant. Stir-fry with Sambal and Shrimp paste. It was bold and punchy taste, simply delicious.

Lastly for the comfort of the stomach, we also ordered a RM22.80 spinish vegetable soup with century eggs and normal eggs, full of flavour even it was just a soup.

Overall, this restaurant give us lots of old school surprises, remind us of childhood times with classic family taste. Delicious and affordable. Simply unforgettable. We definitely come back again and again and make them our...

I’ve always loved the food here — especially the xo and Yang Zhou fried rice — I would always make it a point to stop by when I’m in the area. The dish is consistently 5/5. But after my recent experience at this branch, I honestly don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I visited on Monday, August 11th around 1:30PM to place a takeaway order. I waited patiently. It was busy, and I get that. But two people who came in after me were attended to first by who I believe is the manager. I even politely said “excuse me,” and she replied, “wait ah, I do work first,” and then walked off to do paperwork at a table — while two of us were just left waiting at the counter.

When she finally came back, she served the person beside me — who arrived after me — and didn’t even look at me. I was literally standing right next to that customer, and she didn’t acknowledge me at all. No eye contact. Nothing. Then she went straight back to her paperwork. I was left standing there again until another staff member finally came over to take my order.

Honestly, I left feeling humiliated and completely invisible. And I have to say it: it felt racist. Everyone she served before me looked very different from me, and I can't help but wonder if that had something to do with it. I hate having to say that, but when the pattern is that obvious, it’s hard not to call it what it felt like.

The food is amazing, no doubt about it — but good food doesn’t make up for poor service and making your customers feel unseen. Won’t be returning to...

Leaving chatterbox hk(chk) bangsar with bad experience. It started off well actually. Me, my wife and a friend were looking for a quiet place for dinner and catch up. We found chk located just nice and quiet at bangsar village first floor. Food served fast and the foreign waiter and a Malaysian waiter were quick to our request. We were there from 9pm and until almost 10pm. The waiter asked us to pay and I paid. A little later, to my surprise, and shocked, there is this particular waiter who came over without any eye contact, on a rude tone gave us an "x" using her hand gesture and said in a rather unpleasant tone "closed already!". I was like what??? Can't you be more polite or at least just tell us that you are closing properly hence need us to vacate. Left with bad aftertaste. Can't remember how the food taste like or the ambience of that place, but definitely remember the bad attitude. I will Never ever will be back to the shop again or any...

Type: HK Styled Cafe Located inside the old wing of Bangsar Village, this cafe is nothing like a HK Cafe as they serve more local dishes.. We tried the new menu such as their prawn mee (3.5 🌟) which was quite decent.. Taste quite authentic penang too with slice pork and shrimps. The rest, such as their Ipoh Kuey Teow (2 🌟) was tasteless and the Fried Kuey Teow was quite ok (3 🌟). Nothing spectacular but definitely better than most of their old menu dishes. If you are used to Cantonese Styled or HK styled of cooking, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as most of the dishes here are quite tasteless. The pork bun (1 🌟) here is exceptionally bad,pls don't oder this. Would have given a lower rating if not for their better than average service. That said.. Their HK Styled Tea (4 🌟) deserves a mention as it is one of the items in the menu that you should order. Taste Rating 5/10 Ambience Rating 7/10 Service Rating 7/10 Value Rating 5/10

Family dinner gotto be cooked family style, here it was. Claypot brinjal minced meat led the way, with just the right quantity of serving. Japanese tofu in pumpkin sauce was nice and rich and in its magnificent colour. Apt for all ages. Stir fried fish fillet melts in the mouth. And have mouth, will travel. Surprisingly fried rice with luncheon meat also appeared on almost every table, so it might be telling something. Good aroma and the rice was cooked rightly. Ham & cheese crispy roll added as enhancer to the dishes. Pork chop in Thai sauce will make everyone guess where is the pork chop, it's in strips form. A little dry to our liking. Overall dishes were good, would have been better if extra 10-20% more in qty/size of serving.
