Rakuzen Bangsar Village — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I decided to eat here for comfort food but ended up DISAPPOINTED!! bad service

I ordered okra with sesame dressing. The plate is dirty (where the okra is) . Did inform the staff about it but the staff seemed not keen to entertain us (always rushing) . We hadn't even finished talking to him yet when he left. Then my second order was Ebi temaki (look at the photo) . The shrimp portion is too small. I talked to the staff and if the portion was okay he just looked at me then left again. my appetite is already gone but no choice I have to eat then I ordered soft shell crab temaki almost 20 mins of waiting the temaki haven't serve yet then I ask for the bill to check if the staff key in my order and yes it was in the bill then I told her I'm waiting for almost 20min now, then she came with the food when I touch the crab is already COLD it means the food was stock in the counter for quite some time. I even ask her to check or touch the crab then she asks if she can touch it. I said yes so you will know then yah she agreed that the crab is already cold. I was hungry at that time. Imagine I was waiting for almost 20mins for the temaki then when it came its COLD how come?. She apologized but not even SINCERE.... and last our tea nobody came and refilled it. I will understand if the restaurant is busy at that time but...

When I arrive, I asked if they are opened as it was just before 6pm, they said yes. So after being seated, I ordered the second largest bento set after being persuaded to do so by waiter and was told it would take 25 mins, even tho I was like second or 3rd person to be seated there. I said fine, but pls bring in the miso soup and chawanmushi first. After 10 mins, warm miso soup and warm chawanmushi was served together with slap on lettuce drowned in what was dressing I suppose, disguised as salad. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Another half hour passed by before the main course was served, included not so fresh grilled salmon, sticky rice flour falling off agedashi tofu, funky tasting raw squid, so so salmon on sushi rice, mini decent tempura and 3 skewers that kinda save the dish altho still wondering why grilled leek with the hard skin on ... overall, kept being made to wait for my lukewarm ocha so ... ya .. my rating ... not the first time either, was hoping they buck up... guess sliding down is...

The staff at the cashier manhandled my takeaway. I ordered takeaway and when the food was brought by another staff to the counter, the staff at the cashier just opened my food after touching the cashier machine, money, and other customers credit card, etc. He said he wanted to check whether it’s the correct order or not. Cant he even sanitize his hands before touching someone’s food like that. He also placed the rest of my takeaways beside things like the menu card, notepads. How unhygienic especially when we’re going through a pandemic right now. Rakuzen is a well-known brand but fail to teach their staffs to follow basic hygiene like HELLO this is not even SOP, this is common sense. And for the quality of the food it’s very poor. The salad I ordered had spoiled leaf veges and the sushis are like you can get it from supermarket. This is the worst...
