Chef Ma Mee Tarik — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Food wasn't even mediocre, it was straight up bad. It was way too salty, bland, colourless and oily. The pictures on the menue really tricked you into believing that the food is acutally going to look great and Taste good, but the overall quality of the food was 0. The service was atrocious. Workers who watch tik toks at work aren't a great look for your Restaurant. You literally have to write down what you want to eat and give it to them. We didn't know this so we waited for the waitress to comewhich she never did. The toilet was also disgusting, at least offer some soap instead of a bucket full of fluids in which you wouldn't Stick your hand into. I can't believe how this Restaurant has this many positive reviews, because after what i have witnessed today i am a 100% sure that i will never eat...

The food here was good. I would recommend the skewers, the egg with scallion dish, and the toothpick lamb. The lamb items here were great. Overall good restaurant.

Even though the service here was friendly, they lacked the ability to clearly communicate. We had asked before ordering if they accepted card as a payment method. Our server confirmed that they did. When we were ready to pay, they informed us that it was past 11 PM and that card payments do not work after that time. We were dumbfounded and had to find someone nearby to help exchange some dollars to ringgits. Quite the negative experience in this regard.

Keep cash in hand and you will not face what we had faced. Again, the food was good, the service was friendly, and they were open relatively late....

Probably one of the most "authentic" Chinese restaurant experiences I've had. I mean this in a good way.

Service staff that can barely speak your language. Check.

Menu that is slightly greasy. Check.

Washroom that looks more like a household toilet than a restaurant restroom. Check. (It even had a scent of the household laundry detergent)

Food that warms your soul. Check.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The food was excellent. Price was reasonable.

If you are craving for Chinese Muslim cuisine and are not looking for those whitewashed fine dining expensive Asian eateries, this is the place to go.

Despite the humble looks of this diner, the food I was served with was impeccable.
