We encountered a lady and man receptionist during our 4 night stay. The lady was nice, no problem with the man either. Hotel is short walk away from pasar seni train station. Outside pasar seni is the free Go KL bus stop purple line. We tried to use a bus one day and they said no cash only card accepted. We didn’t have a card and a guy at tr bus station offered to sell it at 25 ringgit each. So we walked to the train instead. Central market is close to pasar seni. Pudu bus station and plaza raykat train station is also a Short walk away. If you are coming by long distance train, get off at Kuala Lumpur not KL Sentral and walk to hotel. You need to take stairs to reach the hotel so beware if you have mobility issues. Hot and cold water dispenser on the same level as reception. Deposit is 30 ringgit and 10 ringgit per night foreign tax. The hotel and our room are clean. Bath towel provided per person. The bed sheets are thin with some stains. There is a desk and mirror, bench, stool and two bedside tables. A rack and clothes hanger. Flat screen tv. The bathroom is a wet room so everything will get wet when you shower. We asked for a bath mat. Soap, shampoo bottle and toilet paper. Bidet for toilet. Aircon with remote. Water jug, 3 cups and cigarette tray provided (???). Daily housekeeping provided. Our room was 1 queen and 1 single bed on the top level 5. Room 503. Outside our bedroom window was a balcony to petaling st. Access is via a door on the opposite side of the floor. People would come all hours of the day and night to smoke, chat etc with no curfew. So we got interrupted sleep for 3 nights. The people in the opposite room to us in 504 were extremely selfish also and were talking and laughing loudly til late at night. We called reception the first night it happened. I don’t think they did anything about it as we didn’t hear their phone ringing. By our 4th night, it was still going on at 11pm, so I bashed on their door telling them to shut the f up. They didn’t answer the door so I bashed again and they said ok. All this as well as people on the balcony. We also called reception about the people on the balcony and they said it was a public space. We asked to move rooms but they said they were full. So one of us went out to the balcony to ask them to keep it down and they said they were leaving soon. The next morning we checked out anyway. Checkout is at 12 noon. You can leave your bags near reception. Receptionist said bags are safe there, no issues in the past. I think the hotel should have security for these types of issues and also a curfew for the balcony, and locking the door to balcony during the night. We loved the beancurd pudding and had it everyday from the vendor on the corner in petaling st. 2 ringgit to eat there or 2.50 to takeaway. Some food in petaling st are pricey. Try the Indian food, better prices. Especially give AL-baik Di Bistro restaurant near central market a try. Open 24 hours. To get to KLIA/2, you can take the KLIA express for 55 ringgit per person or get star shuttle bus from UTC building near hotel, Grab car for 65 ringgit plus tolls. We opted for a shuttle bus from KL Sentral (lower level). There’s a few buses there all are 12 ringgit per person. We went with the first stall as I had seen them while googling. It was SKYbus by Aerobus. You can sit anywhere on the bus. Very comfortable and good aircon. The seats recline with footrest. We left on time at 3pm, took 45mins. The shuttle lets you off at level 1 of gateway mall in klia2. The trip back to KL would be the same. Departure is on level 3. Wanted to try NZ curry house on level 1 but it is no longer open. There’s a food court on level 2, decent prices. We had roti canai 2 ringgit per piece with sauce. Curry puffs from the supermarket there were also good.

The hotel is in the middle of Petaling Street, China town. The entrance was covered by flea market, especially at night, where there were more sellers. The hotel is quite nice actually, I really like the cleanliness in the hotel. It was just the male front staff whom I thought was a bit rude, the other staffs were really professional, helpful, and friendly. Another problem I had was the faucet in my room, rang and vibrated often whenever I turned the hot water on. We must turned off the hot water first, then turned it back on again to stop it (I did not report it to the hotel staff actually). Besides all the problems, the hotel still is very nice and cheap, especially in the midst of high season vacation. The hotel also provided fee flow hot and cold water.

I stay here everytime i visit KL, really enjoy my stay <3 reception is 24 hrs, free refill mineral water, if you can't sleep, go to lobby, it just feels like home. Friendly staff and room keeper. The old woman who is the room keeper keep reminding me to beware of pickpocket around chinatown, she's so kind <3 Room fares is absolutely backpacker style. The room itself is so comfortable, quite and clean. I reserved 3 rooms of deluxe with window type for only RM 80 each room via agoda just about one week ago. No need to worry about transport, you can order grab or MRT and LRT station just couple steps from here. Will stay here again for sure <3
