I bought a ticket for a performance that was scheduled to run from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The performance actually started at 7:03 PM and ended at 7:55 PM. The entire show had four parts, each of which began with a four-minute countdown. Therefore, the entire performance was actually only about 40 minutes long, not 60 minutes.
In addition, the projection environment was not ideal. The brick pattern on the front red brick wall and the many different color blocks on the side walls all greatly affected the quality of the video. The only parts that were clearly visible were the small white wall areas on the sides of the red brick wall.
As a video creator, I feel that this projection environment is not so respectful of the work. You cannot see many of the details that the creators want to express. In fact, the organizers could use white/grey cloth or other plain materials as a projection screen without damaging the original building.
As for the content, I felt that some parts were not easy to understand. The story and continuity were not strong. Although the individual images looked very flashy, many of them were actually connected by fade transitions.
If you just like to come and check in, take a few photos of the light projected on your face or body to post online to get likes, this price may be worth it.
However, based on my experience of watching similar light shows and visual art performances, I feel that this show is not worth RM80. I know it is not easy to organize cultural activities, and I also hope to continue to support REXKL's activities. I hope the relevant organizers can continue to improve in areas where they...

If you are into art, this is the place to go. However, please be informed that these art displays are mid/subpar for the price you would be paying. And if you were to go, go in quick to steal a seating at the beanbags. Sitting on chairs on a slope hurts your back.
I paid 80RM for the one with live performance, and it was regrettably underwhelming. The dance style felt like martial arts at some point, and at some point, alienish. I would not fault the dancer but the Art illustration - felt that animations can be better - the ones i’ve watched are just a play of colours, music and transitions. Nothing special - probably good for a few good camera shots and that’s all.
GSC is probably better money and time spent than this.
Would recommend but at your own discretion.
PS. i have to echo one of the other review where this is business, not art display. Van Gogh at 75RM is better money spent than this. I feel the ultimate reason why I gave 2-stars is for the effort and their intention to retain the authenticity of the building but the price is not it - it’s too expensive for what they...
Read moreIs it worth paying for this?! I had questions in my head, but in a way, it was a valuable experience that made me think, "Japanese technology is amazing after all!"
When I was leaving, I wanted to say to the people who were trying to buy tickets, "You should eat something delicious instead of pay for the tickets"
The first part seems to be about Malaysian history, but is this something you should pay to see as digital art? At national museum, it's okay. This part just make ppl think Malaysia has only nature and batik design at all.
The second act is just watching Windows screensaver on a giant screen. It's kinda nostalgic, but not latest technology.
The third part starts out like a horror movie, but then it becomes like a cut-up version of a Japanese anime. Why we can see so many Japanese language??
Hey, what's the purpose of this? The 3D ads next to the pavilion is several levels above. If they were aiming for Japanese "TeamLab", it's much much far from it. It's a work that I can say "a creator who has never been to teamLab copied it just from Instagram". I'd be surprised, if it was still...
