Warning! Warning! Warning! There is a Satay Stall in this Tang City Food Court manned by a Chinese guy and a Malay guy. The owner of the stall do not list the price of the chicken/mutton/beef satay but they charge RM2 (Singapore price) per stick for the 3 kind of meats. We went to patronise them on yesterday night (29 Jan 2019) and ordered 15 sticks (thinking is RM1 because we had our satay supper on the night before at a Malay Stall nearby). When the Chinese owner brought the 15 satay to us and asked for RM30 (RM2 per stick). We were shocked because we never have such expensive hawker satay before in all our prior trips in KL. We asked the Chinese owner how come his satay is so expensive compare to the nearby Malay satay stall. He arrogantly told us off that all the satay stalls in Chinatown sell at the price RM2 and we can don’t patronise his stall and eat somewhere else. So check the price first before you eat and not for prey to this scrupulous Satay Stall in Tang City Food Court in KL Chinatown. The rest of the stalls are ok except for this Satay stall that...

Tang City Food Court, tucked into the heart of Chinatown, serves up a wide variety of Malaysian Chinese hawker fare in a lively, indoor-style setting. With stalls offering char kuey teow, pan mee, claypot dishes, and more, it’s a convenient and flavorful stop—especially if you're exploring Petaling Street. The atmosphere is energetic (some say a bit chaotic), tables are basic plastic, and service is hit-or-miss—but you’ll get your food quickly and the vendors bring it right to your table. Prices lean slightly higher than tucked-away local spots, but still good value considering the central location. If you're after variety and a slice of local dining culture in a sheltered, convenient setup, Tang City is worth the visit. For the best experience, head there during off-peak hours and order popular local dishes. A solid mid-range option for tourists and...

Most eateries around Petaling Street were full with customers - today being only the sixth day of CNY. We finally decided to settle at TangCity food court, not by choice, but due to availability of seats here.

Our first impression upon entering premise was the unkempt interior. With only about 8 stalls operating while the rest were still closed for CNY. Pan mee, beef noodles, curry laksa & char koey teow (ckt) came highly recommended.

As hygiene was a factor here, we decided to settle for c-k-t, since its freshly prepared. This c-k-t couple have been at it for the last 40 years and it did not disappoint, as the c-k-t was full of "wok-hei" and tasted quite good.

As for the rest of the offerings, we were just not in the mood...

This is not china town at all. I must be honest to judge this. 10 years ago yes it was china town. Now its a place for immigrants to sell their foods. It doesnt taste good at all and the service is terrible. The price is always on the sky. Be careful with the guys who keep coming and inviting you for drink or beer. I said NO more than 3 times but they kept asking and showed attitude if I eat noodles and not paying doe beer. The noodles are acceptable but jts hard to ask for any extra sauce coz they dont have any available (?) Be honest out side of this food courts, there are several real old chinese food halkers that sell real good local foods.
