Christine's Bakery @The Exchange TRX — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Stumble upon cafe/restaurant by chance, and was surprised that it has a 4.8 ratings with over 4000 reviews. For one, the ratings are indeed real. I ordered a Hey Margherita (sourdough pizza), The President bagel (with pumpkin carrot bagel), a Matcha Pistachio, Flat White, and an Elderflower Lime Cheesecake. The sourdough pizza was fragrant, sourdough smell was on point, but just having a tad of bitterness aftertaste when mixed with the cheese on the pizza. The President Bagel, hands down president of all bagel that I had so far. The bagel was soft and puffy, smoked chicken a bit salty, but it was balanced with the sweetness from the sauteed onions. I could taste the butter that was used, but it brought all the components together nicely, leaving a feeling for more. The matcha was smooth, and for someone who don't appreciate matcha, this is one that I will be willing to drink. I would prefer that the matcha to be a bit stronger to balance the milkiness, creaminess of the milk. The Flat White has strong coffee taste, leaving a nutty note that lingers. A bonus for me is I took the crust of the sourdough pizza and dipped it in the coffee. It brought another layer of flavour for the coffee. Lastly, the Elderflower Like Cheesecake was superb. The fragrance from elderflower balanced with the tanginess from the lime, all within a cheesecake that is not too heavy and light to the palate.

We also were served by one of the nicer staff, Ronju and Syiqin, who ensures that we are taken care of. He made sure that he is within our sights occasionally so that we will not feel neglected if we need any assistance.

Update: Came back again for their bagels, but on the third time (Sunday instead of the previous 2 times on a weekday), kinda disappointed though. The Bagel wasn't as fresh as it was during the previous two times. It was wet and it sticks onto the paper. The bagel became soggy and all the ingredients fell out of the bagel as a result. The fragrance from the bagel was missing too, and the cheese wasn't even melted. Feels more like it's heat up instead of prepared fresh. The consistency was appalling. I made a reservation for my office, a group of 18 pax. Since there were many of us, I do wonder how the shop will cater to us. I was initially contacted by Mahia then passed to Clarice for our group arrangement. We were asked to pre-order and make 50% of the total bill as deposit. I’m happy that we were given this exclusive corner so we’re not disturbed by the other diners and vice versa since it was a business lunch. Clarice always responded swiftly to my texts and assisted us well with the many last minute changes that we had. They planned it so well where by the time we arrived, our food was ready to be served gradually within 10-15 mins except for 1 meal for our VIP guest (of all people we wonder why hers was delayed 😅) which took about to 30 mins to be served. We thought it was a missed order, not sure why though. To compensate for the long waiting time, our guest was given a complimentary dessert, I think it was a chocolate tart. Very kind gesture I would say. Overall I had a wonderful experience dealing with Clarice. Hi everyone! so I went here my 1st time (for me) to have Iftar with my high school friends (we’re all now working) So my waiter is Ms Clarice. She’s very patient, sweet & attentive for our needs. Even her team too!!

We can order first (I arrived at 6.20pm) & they delivered our food all at 7.10-7.15pm for us Breaking our fast, which is super sweet for a restaurant to take note in this matter!

We loveeeed so much their Wagyu Crozza! It’s delicious! Wonderful & crunchful mouth watering Croissant Pizza with Wagyu I’ve tasted! We loved it so much, sadly I had to be patient & share with my 5 other friends. However I totally recommend Wagyu Crozza! Hope the quality always remains!!

I loveee their Watermelon Juice, their baked potatoes, strawberry tarts, Truffle Sourdough Pizza, Nasi Lemak Ayam, Avacado Prawn Bagel, Carbonara Pasta & they even have a electric outlet for me to charge my Iphone 🥺

I sincerely appreciate my iftar there with my ex-highschool friends with the attentiveness of Clarice & her team who non stop understands and gets what we wanted. Either by request or they themselves self initiated it! Lurveeeeeee.
