Been a hardcore patron and a regular once/twice a week at Kenny Hills. I'm a regular at TRX branch here since their opening day because of convenience to go, easy to park car (on weekend), even easy on weekday using public transportation (TRX MRT). Previously a regular for a long time at their Bukit Tunku branch but I stop going there because they of lack of parking space and hard to reach (no public transportation) especially on peak-hour.
Last Friday afternoon (7th Feb) i ordered my usual Warm Goat Cheese Salad menu with add-on Smoked Salmon. i'm quite surprised because the salad came with smaller Goat Cheese as usual (its been cut in Half) and i made a complaint to the server. The server (who recognized me) told the kitchen staff and later they add another piece of Half Goat Cheese (that's weird...but it's fine to me). I know the Goat Cheese had been cut in half because there's no Cheese Rind (the outside shell of cheese) of the Goat Cheese as usual. I've been eating on a weekly basis this menu and i know every little details of things that change but this purposely cutting cheese in half was totally mind-blowing. It's okay, I just thought that they maybe wrongly made my order.
A day later on Saturday (8th Feb) i came again and the same half-cut goat cheese served to me. Made a complaint again but the Branch Manager later came and told me that their Central Kitchen (CK) changed the ingredient and sent the cheese in Half, and YES the price REMAINED the same and said that all of their branch getting the same ingredient. I showed him all my photos of the same menu taken from all of my previous order and he admit that it were cut in half, but said can't do anything because the CK who send them the ingredient. I later paid another RM10 to add-on another piece of Half Goat Cheese. I'm quite frustrated with the Branch Manager statement.
i'm okay if they change the menu price (maybe cause of profit, cost, inflation, etc) and i don't care because i came here to eat my usual menu, but purposely reducing the ingredient is not a clever thing to do (Moreover to reduce the main ingredient, the Goat Cheese which is the highlight of the menu!).
I plan later this weekend to go to their TTDI branch (just to check) if they will serve me the same thing, and if they do.. .thats the end of Kenny Hills to me.
UPDATE On Saturday weekend (15th Feb) I give a call first to the TTDI branch and the TTDI branch manager told me that they got the menu available but all of their Goat Cheese on that day were not in a "good shape" and thus will not serving the menu that day until Monday. Thats quite a good and correct answer given! because you know your ingredient were not in a good condition and you stated that honestly to your customer, my big Thumbs UP! Later I went to Kenny Hills Bukit Tunku branch instead after checking by call that their Goat Cheese were available and the condition and shape were "same as usual". I made my order by their server name "Marcus" and he keeps me assured that I will get a "good" Goat Cheese..thick, and with Cheese Rind. Surprisingly!! later he came and serve me the exact same menu as usual with the same good Goat Cheese! Marcus, you really made my day! He's very friendly and keep checking on me either i'm all good with the menu. Now i'm done with Kenny Hills TRX branch.
You can see and judge on photos. Those thick Goat Cheese with Cheese Rind were their "normal" and usual. Other ingredient maybe different a bit (for decorative purpose by different chef, maybe?). Kenny Hills Management, please do note on this matter regarding your ingredient condition that need to be serve to your customer, and also your TRX Branch Manager (Malay guy) who I think not that smart or worthy to be the "Branch Manager". The Goat Cheese served at Bukit Tunku branch (15th Feb) showed that you had made a false and inaccurate statement to your customer. You need to take your customer more seriously.

Kenny Hills Bakers, a name synonymous with artisanal baked goods, lives up to its reputation. During a recent visit, I indulged in two of their fruit-forward pastries: the Mango Tango and the Peach Strudel, and was thoroughly impressed.
Mango Tango:
This dessert was a vibrant celebration of tropical flavors. The mangoes were ripe and luscious, offering a burst of sweetness that was perfectly balanced by a subtle tang. The pastry itself was flaky and buttery, providing a delightful textural contrast to the soft, juicy fruit. The layers of cream were light and airy, adding a touch of richness without overwhelming the mango's natural sweetness. This was a bright and refreshing treat, perfect for a warm afternoon.
Peach Strudel:
The Peach Strudel was a comforting and elegant pastry. The peaches were tender and flavorful, with a gentle sweetness that was enhanced by the warm spices. The strudel pastry was thin and delicate, creating a satisfying crunch with each bite. The overall flavor was reminiscent of a classic peach pie, but with a refined and artisanal touch. It was a perfectly balanced pastry, not to sweet, and not to tart.

Overall Experience:
The quality of the ingredients was evident in both pastries. The fruits were fresh and flavorful, and the pastries were expertly crafted. The presentation was also impeccable, with each dessert looking as beautiful as it tasted. The atmosphere of Kenny Hills Bakers added to the experience. It was a relaxed and inviting space, perfect for enjoying a leisurely treat. The service was friendly and efficient, and the staff were knowledgeable about the pastries.
Verdict:
Kenny Hills Bakers delivers exceptional pastries that are both delicious and visually appealing. The Mango Tango and Peach Strudel were standout examples of their commitment to quality and craftsmanship. If you're looking for a delightful sweet treat, Kenny Hills Bakers is a must-visit.

Read moreKHB has been one of my must try restaurants in KL and I visited KHB TRX the other day. First thing which I encountered was a slight queue outside the entrance but when I went in and to my surprise, there were lots of empty tables. Hence I don’t quite get what’s the hold up or maybe that’s their part of operation. But I had went to the branch at TTDI multiple times and I understand the queue as it was packed all the time which I have no problem with.
Anyways it was just a small issue but the only problem occurred when I was about to order my food. The kind staff informed us that we need to scan the QR code to place our order which I found very convenient. Now the only problem was the network coverage in the store was horrible which caused the ordering experience was absolutely awful. The menu takes forever to load and even checking the cart I had to get stuck at the loading screen. There were no WiFi shown that I can connect for better ordering experience but I would say it’s my fault that the telco I’m using might be in a bad coverage area. Never mind that but then I thought maybe I should just proceed to have my orders getting ordered manually. Hence I seek help from a staff member and he is absolutely polite. He helped us took the order and we’re set. But after 20-30 minutes our order is not arriving. The customers that came after us already had their drinks and pastries on the table. After checking with that staff only then we found out that our orders was not being registered in the system and then the frustration occurs. The whole point of this mess starts with the inconvenience of ordering if there is no good internet connection. Perhaps the best way is to show that the restaurant has a WiFi connection to enable customers to order online smoothly. However I would like to commend on the customer service. I am very happy with their attitude and therefore I hope this can be improved.
Just a quick update, there’s a lot of menu that is not available during dinner time which is quite...
