Came here for dinner to celebrate my sister’s birthday because my mom recommended this place.
I was a tad bit too early for my booking slot at 8:30pm but despite that, the wait to get my table fixed and ready for us to sit at was done at an instant. Props to them for being quick on their feet with that(literally).
We were attended by this amazing and very friendly guy named Haris. He was very attentive throughout the whole evening and made sure that each and every single one of us had our orders down and ready to go. Definitely would come here again just to experience Haris’ hospitality hahaha. Give him a shoutout for me and make sure he is aware that his name is being mentioned in this review for his excellent service!
Food wise, since we were sitting right below the air conditioning unit, our food became cold at a faster rate however the flavour definitely compensated for that issue because everything that we had ordered tasted! The portions were big enough for my family of 6 to share and still had a bit of extras leftover after our meal. Drink-wise my sister ordered the teh susu ais and as someone who loves teh ais, i have to say that it is more on the sweeter side so if you dont have a sweet tooth you might wanna ask for the least amount of sugar that they are physically able to put in the drink because it was still sweet when my sister had already ordered for her drink to be less sweet. The kopi kampung ais that I ordered was also on the sweeter side of things but I am totally fine with it and finished my drink down to the last drop. We also got the cendol and onde onde puding bakar and I definitely recommend getting those because despite their drinks being on the sweeter end, their desserts were flavoured just right to get you to taste everything that goes on inside it!
The ambience and atmosphere of the whole place was also really nice and pleasant to dine in. Definitely a good place to have a date or even a family dinner. There were three separate birthday celebrations (including my family) happening over dinner and the place puts on a happy birthday song over the speaker so if you’re planning to celebrate someones birthday here , expect that to happen when you come later on.
Overall I’ll give it an 8.9/10, definitely...
Read moreWe came here on weekend, we are able to do reservation by clicking on the link available on this outlet’s google page. Do note that we need to like reserve an hour earlier, otherwise just walk in to the restaurant. We need to pay RM20 per pax, but they payment will be substracted from the final bill.
This is my first time coming here, not sure what to expect with the parking, so we entered the parking area for Plaza Damas and parked on the designated parking on the side road. I cant really remember the parking charge, maybe around RM10 for 2 hours?
After we parked, we walked into Hartamas Shopping Centre, it is like an abandoned mall on the inside. We go down by eskalator and once we arrived at the ground floor, we go out from the mall as the entrace to this restaurant is outside.
We were greeted by the staffs, they are okay, not that friendly, maybe tired already cause we came around 6pm. Our reservation is at 6.30pm but since theres empty table, we got in earlier. We sat at our table, staff came to take our order, and I think within 5-10mins our food has arrived.
Drinks came later, and I can say the staff who server our drinks, named Rakib if Im not mistaken, is the friendliest and more welcoming compared to other staffs. The portion of the food is quite big, but I would prefer better if they can serve drinks in a jug or something cause their glasses are quite small.
We ordered daging masak lemak, telur dadar, sayur bendi and ikan masin. In terms of the taste, we are satisfied. We even brought them back home cause we couldnt finish it. I think if there were 3-4 people, then we might be able to finish everything. The environment is conducive, they have sink to wash hands.
Overall, I might come again with my family if we are celebrating anything. Recommended to come with a large group of people, and truly Malaysian taste, like lauk kenduri. Oh they even have sirap kenduri as their drinks. Oh btw the total is around RM170+ for 4 drinks, rice for 2 and the...
Read moreAssalamualaikum, first of all , the food was great , ambience was great .
But the very DOWNSIDE OF THE DINING WAS THE SERVICE and the OVERPRICING a FOOD and DRINKS.
I reserved for 10 pax only but one of my friend decided to join us after and one of the staffs greeted us with a “ monyok “ face after we asked for another chair and blamed us for reserving for only 10 pax . And we even suggested to him where to add another chair . I mean what kind of service is this ?
moving on when we requested for Sambal ( sumpah demi Allah ) I tot it was free of charge , tak tau pula Sambal kena charge and was charged for RM 7 for one bowl , and I ordered for 7 bowls as the staff said kecil je Sambal tu .
I MEAN YOU AS A WAITER TAK RASA PELIK KE ORANG ORDER SAMBAL BANYAK2 ? TAK ADA COMMON SENSE TO EVEN SUGGEST TO TAKE HOW MANY BOWLS ? And tak MENTION IT WAS CHARGED ?
I WENT TO SO MANY FINE DININGS , before they served they will ask you politely and mentioned about the PRICING.
ordered two jugs of asam boi, pun TAK DE COURTESY TO MENTION HOW MUCH IT WAS , we are charged for RM 128 for the two jugs of asam boi , yang boleh minum small glass dua kali.
telur dadar dah hanyit pun boleh serve , but we never complained sebab belum tau how ridiculous the charges was .
daging masak KICAP PUN JANGAN ORDER , DAGING NAK KUNYAH PUN TAK BOLEH , pun we tak complain sebab belum tau how ridiculous the charges was .
This is not my first visit . My second one and I remembered how good the service was before . So I brought my friends over . Oh well, never again .
Kalau nak charge semi dining, service pun kena mantap. Bukan lagi teruk dari warung. Senyuman tu penting. Sabar tau penting.
This is service line , as I am working in service line as well, so I know how important is the services...
