My first to Clam Sanctuary and it will not be my last. I had always wanted to go but somehow did not get a chance.
Now I finally got a chance to visit this restaurant. When I entered, I was immediately free by a friendly staff. The interior which is decorated very nicely and comfortable. Good ambient music creates a happy environment.
Most importantly the food is really delicious. Their signature clams will never disappoint, as it was so fresh and cooked to perfection.
My wife ordered the 5 year aged Chinese wine clam noodle. The portion was not small at all. Good portion of clams. The clams were so good and tasty. The freshness is amazing. The soup simply addictive, and one cannot stop drinking.
For desert, we ordered the bubur chacha. The sweetness is not on the high scale which was good as we didnāt like very sweet things. Overall a very tasty desert.
I will definitely recommend you to go check out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited Clam Sanctuary with high hopes, given the name. Unfortunately, the reality couldn't be further from the promise. The cornerstone of the menu, the clam, was a major disappointment.
The clam risotto was a culinary catastrophe. The texture was off-putting, overly sticky, and completely lacked the creaminess a risotto should possess. To make matters worse, the elusive clam was practically absent, a cruel joke for a dish bearing its name.
The clam fried mihun was equally underwhelming. The clams were microscopic and few and far between. It was as if they were trying to hide from diners. The clam chowder was simply a watery broth with a faint hint of clam flavor. Again, the clams were an afterthought.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Clam Sanctuary. If you're seeking a satisfying clam-based meal, this is not the place. A complete waste of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered their clear seafood soup with scallop that comes with massive pearl clam and ramen at Rm44, to my surprise that it comes with large fresh prawn and 2 dumplings and a lot a lot of mini clam. The photos might not show how big the pearl clam due to the big size bowl they served. Its pretty worth the money paid and the soup is quite good, ramen also al dente.
For the homemade glutinous yellow wine soup with sabah clam and rice noodle also comes with a large fresh prawn and 2 dumplings. For the price of only rm24, there is nothing much you can ask for nowadays.
Great that they have the option of less sweet for their bubur cha cha. Really hope they can maintain their quality and portion after sometime. Will be back to try their...
