Extremely Disappointing Valentine’s Day Experience
I am writing to formally express my disappointment with our dining experience at your restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Given the occasion and the price of the set meal, we expected a well-organized and enjoyable evening. However, what we experienced was far from that.
We had made a reservation in advance and, upon arrival, the waiter reconfirmed if we would like to proceed with the Valentine’s 5-course meal, to which we agreed. I had chosen pork as my main course and had already communicated this via WhatsApp when asked. We were also offered a RM88 top-up for a bottle of wine, but we opted for two glasses instead. Despite reminding the staff multiple times over the course of 15 minutes, the wine menu was never presented to us. The mineral water was then served after 20minutes upon multiple requests.
The waiting time between courses was excessively long: • Appetizer: Arrived after 30+ minutes—the best course of the night. • Second course (prawn soup): Took another 15+ minutes and had an overpowering raw prawn taste, which I did not enjoy. • Third course (pasta): Served at 10 PM, after another 30-minute wait. • Main course (pork belly and grilled fish): Arrived only at 10:45 PM, after 45 minutes! The pork belly had a strong, unpleasant smell, and the grilled fish was not fresh—by far the most disappointing part of the meal. • Dessert: Finally served after 11 PM.
To make matters worse, while waiting, we noticed multiple couples leaving due to the poor service. Some waited over an hour without even receiving their appetizer. The couple beside us, who arrived at 8 PM+, had only two glasses of wine on their table by 10:30 PM and they left. Several others who arrived at 9 PM left by 10:30–11 PM out of frustration.
Despite the terrible experience, no compensation or discount was offered when we paid. Yet, a 16% tax was still charged, bringing our total bill to RM460+ for a meal that was neither worth the price nor the wait.
This was the worst Valentine’s dining experience we have ever had, and we sincerely hope you will take serious steps to improve your service and food quality. We would appreciate a response regarding how you plan to address...

While I absolutely loved the dishes such as the spicy unagi mayo, prawn toast & pork chops and they have a tremendously deal for wine of (RM88 for 5 glasses of wine). The dining experience was soured by the wai staff who committed multiple amateur-ish mistakes throughout the night.
First, they were obsessed with pestering us to order meats from their refrigerator of fresh cuts even though we clearly mentioned to them multiple times that we weren’t interested in that & instead preferred ordering from the menu.
Secondly, they did not have any seafood dishes available that night. This was extremely disappointing as we were looking forward to trying their “blackout spaghetti” dish. When we attempted to order the “king prawn love pasta” instead, we were informed that that dish wasn’t available either.
Finally, the staff forgot to inform the kitchen that we had ordered a plate of pork chops as the dish didn’t arrive after all the other dishes had been served. After we informed them of the missing dish, only then did it seem that the kitchen had finally started to prepare the dish. The waiter made up some cheap excuse to us rather than accepting responsibility and apologising for the mistake.
Overall, while the food is undoubtedly delicious and creatively put together and the 5 glasses of wine for RM88 is very generous, the restaurant was unfortunately let down by the performance of the wait staff on the night we...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant for their newly introduced buffet dinner, and it turned out to be the worst dining experience I've ever had. They clearly aren't prepared to offer a buffet service. If you're going to be so stingy, kiasu or overly cautious with a buffet, it would be better to just offer a dinner set or à la carte options. At the start, they outlined some buffet rules, but then introduced additional rules unexpectedly, which caused a lot of confusion. Different waitstaff provided conflicting information; at the very least, they should be consistent if trying to avoid customers from ordering more. We ordered extra mussels for our second round, but one waiter informed us they were sold out. However, the mussels were later served, which left me quite puzzled. They impose a two-hour limit for the buffet, yet the main courses took over 30 minutes to arrive. One of the rules stated that we had to order in a specific sequence: from starters to the main counter and then pasta (which apparently isn't considered a main course). This ordering process is irreversible, and yet they took a long time to serve each dish. We couldn't place our orders all at once, and after each dish was served, we had to search for a waiter to order the next one, which was incredibly frustrating. This is my first and last time...
