First off, this review is on their delivery and not dine-in.
After months of teasing with their mysterious advertisements and social media posts, Finch finally kept us waiting no more. Boasting a “whimsical culinary experience in the heart of KL”, they now deliver Fusion food to the delight of diners.
Given we ordered two dishes with truffle, the alluring scent made its way out of the delivery bag exciting us even before we opened it.
Service: We placed the order via a third party app hence pretty straight forward however the service staff did WhatsApp us after to follow up on the quality of the food which was nice touch
Packaging: Though it wasn’t anything very fancy, we liked the small stickers giving them a sense of identity & branding
Wagyu Truffle Chahan (Rm 68)
Taste: Upon opening the plastic lid, we were a little disappointed that the Wagyu Beef was almost minced with the rice instead of sitting atop. However, if did have its upsides. Having fried the wayu with the rice gives it much flavour especially when the fats do break down coating each grain. Accompanied by an onsen egg & topped with a few slices of truffle with a downpour of spring onions, sealed the flavours. That said, it did not age well in the take away box hence clumping together.
Price: Fairly Reasonable
Pappardelle Mushroom Truffle (Rm 38)
Taste: The pasta looked like it might have been Al dente when it was fresh out of the kitchen. However they didn’t age well in the delivery box either, hence arrived a little hard. The creamy sauce was rich in truffle & mushrooms which was pretty addictive sprinkled with parsley
Price: Fairly Reasonable
Recommended? Aside from the alluring aromas, we did not have a whimsical experience. The food had much potential and was flavourful. However, till they manage to overcome the delivery difficulties, we would hang on to our reins.

If basement, try to get parking in B1 or B2, you will see a sign that says This Way to a Whimsical Experience you can take the lift straight to Finch (so i have been told). If you are unlucky to park in B3 and below, you need to take the lift to Ground, walk out the main entrance to the valet area (Pavilion opposite), walk towards left, turn at first left and walk down the road until you see a lighted colorful wooden walkway. I know because i parked at B4 and the lift is not connected to Finch.
We got the seating beside the Flower Wall. Scan qr code to order, but neither Maxis/Celcom was able to load the menu. We tried for some time gave up, and they brought the physical menu. There were plenty of waiters/waitresses walking around, when we were ready to order, my hand was up in the air for abit but no one came. But clearing plates they are very efficient.
Coca Cola (rm9).
Chateau La Graviere Rouge (rm45).
Halibut with Kombu Butter (rm58); potato mousse is smoooth like butter but i feel that the green sprouts spoiled it because the mousses kinda has the sprout stench. Fish is yummy.
Black Cod with Mushroom Risotto (rm85); fish is soooo good. Risotto is sooo flavorful = This dish is delly as fk.
It's a nice place for a "atas" but won't burn a hole in your pocket dinner place. I was surprised cause it's in Westin and Westin is not exactly...
Read moreI want you share my experience in this “local”, Friday, June 30. I went to that club with some friends yesterday. We were in the outside, eating and drinking. Then we decided to go inside to enjoy the music of the dj. We were dancing in front of the dj. In the middlepoint between the dj and the bar. And all through the night, some Finch worker, when he wanted to go from a point to another, where I was, he pushed me. And he did it with me several times. In fact, that tall guy with long black hair, always pushed me as I was a hindrance. And then I reacted because I was upset to be treated in such disrespectful way. And the guy faced me and pointed his finger at me. And he tried several times to get me out of the place. I told him that he had been hitting and pushing me all night, without asking permission, disrespecting me. And he became more and more aggressive and said that that was a private club. Until I turned to my friends and kept dancing with my them. And also another worker, a little chubby, did the same to me, like the tall guy with long black hair. But I tried to not react. Then when I left your club my friends later told me that the tall guy with long hair tried to look for me outside. This is how this club treats their customers. I recommend not to go if you do not want to be...
