FLOCK at W Kuala Lumpur: Fun, Funky, and Flavorful
If you’re looking for an all-day dining spot with personality, FLOCK at W Kuala Lumpur is where it’s at. With its funky and fun interiors, a great selection of local and international dishes, and even views of the Petronas Towers, FLOCK delivers an exciting dining experience whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or a casual bite in between.
Breakfast: A Solid Spread but No Bubbly The breakfast buffet at FLOCK has a great selection of local and international favorites, with everything from freshly baked pastries to classic Malaysian dishes. But unlike some other W hotels, this one doesn’t offer a champagne or sparkling wine breakfast, which is a little surprising. That said, the spread itself is still solid—just don’t expect any morning bubbly!
Lunch: Elevated Comfort Food with a Twist For lunch, I got to try some of their specialties, and they did not disappoint!
🦪 Freshly Shucked Seasonal Oysters (MYR 68/128) – I went for the La Fine De Claire (France #2), served with lemon, shallot vinegar, and a Thai-inspired Nam Jim Jiew sauce. Super fresh, briny, and perfect as a starter.
🍝 Uni Carbonara with Crabmeat (MYR 78) – A luxurious take on carbonara with durum wheat noodles, rich sea urchin, and sweet crabmeat. The flavors were creamy, umami-packed, and super indulgent—definitely a must-try!
🍫 Chocolate Banana Mas Filo (MYR 38) – A warm, comforting dessert featuring Loka chocolate frangipane wrapped in banana mas filo pastry, served with vanilla ice cream. Crunchy, gooey, and perfect to end the meal on a sweet note.
Drinks: A Classic Malaysian Staple ☕ Teh Tarik – I went for the classic Malaysian pulled tea, and it was smooth, frothy, and just the right level of sweetness—the perfect pairing for my meal.
Final Thoughts: A Fun & Tasty Spot with Views FLOCK is not your typical all-day dining restaurant—it’s stylish, playful, and full of bold flavors.

Read moreWithout a doubt, this is the Sunday brunch to beat in KL. It hits very note perfectly and that's reflected by the queues waiting to enter a completely full restaurant. Sunday brunch should be fun and a celebration, an indulgence with family or close friends, you should leave satiated and with a smile on your face. The W never fails to deliver this.
After a sadly very disappointing experience at (the much more expensive) Sabayon two weeks previously, I approached another post pandemic brunch today with more than a little trepidation. Would this be another expensive disappointing experience? I need not have worried. From the warm reception by the front of house staff and the welcome glass of Aperol spritz, it was clear that this was going to be a fun afternoon and that we were in safe hands.
The seafood, sashimi and sushi were highlights for me, but every single taste and preference seemed well catered for and I wish I'd taken more pictures of the delicious food on offer. Staff were busy and you sometimes had to flag someone down, perhaps as we were seated outside on the terrace but they were unerringly polite and efficient when you got their attention.
A complete surprise was the traveling table magician who I think was called Gin, who provided a fun and charming interlude.
We all left with smiles on our faces. I can't recommend this enough. I can't wait to go back and take friends...
