I've still getting over the vibe that Junk Cafe has. My husband and I were looking for food options at 11pm and thank God google suggested this place to us. I was sceptical at first with the area (as this place is right in the heart of Petaling Street Market) but boy I've never been more happy to be proven wrong.
As we heard the amazing voice of Nurul Liza singing her heart out, Muang welcomed us with dancing shoulders and I couldn't help but sit there. After that, Richa and Aisha took such good care of us that it felt like I'm sitting with a bunch of friends who made us feel safe and loved.
I've had one of the best Tuscan pasta in my life here, which btw they customised for me, while my husband had the most amazing and buttery beef cheeseburger.
We took Richa's recommendation and went ahead with Tiger beer paired with house sweet potato fries and popcorn chicken. Muang made sure we dance as we eat and the whole place is a vibe in itself.
This place has touched my heart so much that I'm ready to move to KL for good just to meet these people and eat the food here.
IF YOU DO NOT SPEND SOME TIME HERE, YOU'RE MISSING...

Was repeatedly pressured to sit down and finally ordered a beer at the bar when I really just wanted to leave. Kept getting a barrage of different faces trying to take my order and sell me a hamburger I didn’t want. I asked why they have two different iterations of potato sides with their main to which I kept getting ignored and sold a burger and continued inappropriate physical contact from the server. Who on earth wants mashed potatoes and potato wedges with a rack of lamb or a steak? I was ready to hit that guy because he wouldn’t stop touching me.
It’s a bad sign when you see a menu that calls a list of basic appetisers “Tapas.” And also self-proclaims they have the best burger in the city.. did not eat. Would not go back.
Also, they forcefully charge you 10% service charge which is unheard of in Malaysia. Tipping is not...

We loved the Junk Café so much, we went there four times during our trip to Kuala Lumpur – and every visit was a joy. The atmosphere is amazing – cozy, stylish, and full of character. The in-house DJ sets the perfect mood with great music that enhances the vibe without overpowering it.
The food is absolutely delicious – every dish was bursting with flavor. Huge compliments to the talented chefs Mijan, Sadik and Nomanraj – you guys are incredible!
And we can’t forget the fantastic service – Ayesha took such good care of us, always with a big smile and the kindest attitude. She truly made us feel welcome and at home.
If you're in KL, don’t miss this place! We’re already looking forward to coming back. Thank you for the amazing...
