Monday 30 December 2024 - finally found the famous prawn Mee from Setapak Prawn Noodle 文良港蝦麵.

They used to operate their business in the middle of the block of shops lots directly opposite SRJK (C) Chong Hwa 中華國民型華文小學. Then it ceased operations for about a couple of years.

Now they are back in business, in this coffee shop, for about 2 years now.

Their prawn Mee is still as good as before. Now operated by the daughter, as her parents already retired back then.

In this coffee shop, there are a variety of food stalls to choose from, besides this prawn Mee. There are chue Cheung fun, Thai food, pan mee, bak kut teh, wantan Mee, soup and curry noodles, chicken rice etc.

The indoor seating has air conditioning, and most of the stalls are inside the coffee shop itself, whilst the exterior (covered) does not have air conditioning, and the chicken rice stall and another is situated in...

The wantan mee served here is delicious and surpasses the one I recently tried in the same area. The pork noodles and curry noodles, although visually appealing in the pictures, they were decent but fell short of being exceptional or memorable.

Perfect half-boiled eggs. Each time I ordered them, they were cooked to perfection. It's a simple dish, but they managed to execute it well. Kaya butter toast was just ok, while it wasn't terrible, it didn't leave a lasting impression either.

Its a kopitiam with many stalls. Today we tried the prawn noodles. My wife loves her prawn noodles but now days...very2 difficult to get good authentic prawn noodles. We roamed the town (PJ/KL) hunting down prawn noodles. when someone recommends we'll try but always it's a disappointment. Most content creators have a recording gaget in hand, its shows the best and good rating but when we are there as an ordinary paying customer it's a different story.
