MENU VERDICT :

  1. Tomyam Taley • This dish is supposedly served with Maggie noodles but I explicitly asked the staff to change it to white rice. Good portion, the tomyam is served in a small cooking pot. The dish is advertised for 2 person portion but it's a bit optimistic actually. It's modestly more than a typical personal tomyam meal. The ingredient amount is decent. 2 sizeable prawns, a mussel and a few steamboat crab filaments. The tomyam broth tastes good. Strong aroma with great taste. Although the chilli slices in the broth are simply way too coarse and the amount is too much causing me a few slight chokes while eating. If they could tone down the amount, it would be much more pleasant to eat, at least for me.

  2. Thai Iced Green Tea (cup) • The green tea beverage is a bit less dense than I like. It tastes decent and the price is surprisingly reasonable. The beverage is also available in the bucket portion if you're a monster lol.

THE GOOD : • The place styling is quite charming. Antique decor and chic ambience which seem to be inspired by an old-school Thai house. • Very good service by the staff. Allowed me to modify a dish to my liking. • The food selection is fairly extensive and quite interesting. They also offer a slew of pizza varieties with a touch of Thai food uniqueness. • Very close to Medan Tuanku monorail station and LRT Sultan Ismail station (around 5 min walk)

THE NOT-SO-GOOD • Some menu prices are a bit steep. • No cash and card payment. Just DuitNow QR code issued by CIMB. But the QR is unusable even with the CIMBClicks app, resorting to bank transfer which instantly makes the payment process unnecessarily tedious. • The place is surprisingly popular and sometimes there is a queue...

This place was on my bucket list for quite some time and so now that my hotel is just across the street, I decided to give it a shot. Since Little Ra Ra prides itself for being one of the best places for Thai food in KL, and also how Malaysians constantly boast on how Thai food in Malaysia tastes better than Thai food in Thailand, it was high time to test this & decide for myself. So I ordered my favorite Thai dish, Beef Pad Kra Pao With a fried egg. The amount of beef is generous, the level of spiciness was adequate; however, like other reviews have noted, it was too dry and lacked the garlic-y and pepper-y flavours, but also the almost non-existence of Thai basil made this almost criminally inaccurate. It did taste good but it wasn't Pad Kra Pao. And to top it off, the staff didn't even know what Nam Prik Pla was!? So you're telling me you work in a seemingly Thai restaurant in KL Malaysia and don't know the most common and popular condiment in Thai cuisine ? I showed them a picture of Prik Nam Pla; instead, they gave me a bowl of shredded chilis in vinegar. That's not Prik Nam Pla. But anyways, I appreciate the staff trying to help. But dried Pad Kra Pao without Thai Basil and shredded chilis in vinegar as Prick Nam Pla is...

Food is just decent, nothing too great about it. Price-wise is reasonable.

If want to do booking, need to call a certain number. Phone number mentioned in Google, Instagram and Facebook are all wrong apparently - suggest the business to get that updated for convenience. They've also asked to pre-order via WhatsApp and pre-pay the meal by online transfer. The menu did not have clear price. Person in-charge with taking booking and order via WhatsApp is very rude. No thank you or nothing, after payment is made. Nowadays only paying customers need say 'thank you'?

And then when arrived at the restaurant, me and partner was standing outside the restaurant because we were waiting to be seated. One of the boy server approached us rudely and asked, 'What?' instead of a decent basic human greetings. Can't they use a common sense, if people standing outside with the sign 'please wait to be seated' are we just hanging around there? Just want to watch other people eat? No! We had a reservation and were waiting to get instructions on where to be seated. Would be bonus if we get to be in a fight, though.

Will not consider this place next time, pretty sure there are other place with better food...

One of the reasonable Thai food restaurant in KL area 👍🏽 Some of their foods is consider nice and some I just feel normal. Most of their soup seriously spicy and if you not a person who can take spicy please inform them or else you gonna get ready to order few glasses of drinks ✅ Price : reasonable (toward cheap side) for me this is one of the cheapest Thai food restaurant that I found in KL area Portion : right amount for a pax and most of their foods cant really share because it is really meant to be one pax Taste/Quality : 4/5 (overall) - pad thai (4/5 - sticky type), soup kambing (4/5 - seriously spicy), chicken minced rice (2.5/5 - nothing special but the only problem is their minced chicken abit dry), thai tea (2.5/5 - nothing special), boat noodle (3/5) Services : 4.5/5 (fast and friendly) Environment : simple restaurant and kinda limited seat too Parking : there is a parking space behind of this restaurant, during weekend after 6pm it would be RM6 per entry) Payment : cash and e-wallet only ✅

I chose this place because it is Thai food, looks tasty . So I walked almost 3 kilometers from my hotel to come here. I read the reviews that were good. That's why I decided to eat here. But when I arrived none of the staff greeted me or offered a menu even though I was the only customer. When I finally got their attention and ordered food, it seemed like the male staff was looking at me and laughing at me. I don't know if they I'm a clown or I looked disgusting or what but I suggest that if you work in service, you should respect every customer who comes into the restaurant, no matter what gender they are. I believe that people should respect each other. The food was OK, but the wait is a bit long. It's worth the price but not worth dealing with rude staff. The Thai tea tastes good, not too sweet. I would like the owner to train the staff to be more respectful. Thank you.
