When I booked a room at this hotel there wasn't information that they have connected rooms. Otherwise I would never have booked it. So a room, I got, was exactly this type - connected with another one. Inside my room I saw a door, opened it, saw another door( to the connected room) , which was closed and blocked, so I realized that these were connecting rooms and decided that the second door is blocked from both sides. But a couple days later almost at night I was lying on my bed, was about go to sleep, my door was opened and a stranger man came in to my room!!! Could u imagine my shock!!!???? Turned out, he just arrived, decided to check where his door was heading and got into my room! Because his door wasn't block as I thought before, but my door was broken, which means that everybody from that room could come in to my room!!!! I left my belongings, documents and even money there every day!!! It's absolutely insane. Besides I could be naked or asleep. Do u think it is ok when a random man can come in to your room when u are a woman??? How unsafely it is!!!!! It's a shame U hide information about connecting rooms. Because one more reason to avoid this type of room is that u always can hear everything what's going on at another room. There is no sound protection. U have to hear TV, phone talks, phone calls etc at night time when u are gonna sleep 🤷🏻♀️ I gave u 3 stars just only because I got a new room asap. The new room on the 6th floor was smaller than previous one and not that type I booked, but without any connecting rooms, so I could finally sleep properly. At this room I could not switch off the light in the bathroom, and switcher on the electric kettle was not working as well, so I had to hold down it with my hand to make water boil😁but these were small problems compared to real problems at the first room. In common the rooms need refresh, everything is old and needs renovation. All proofs in attached videos.

Read moreIt was not a very pleasant experience. I felt the room could have been cleaner. For some reason, room services do not operate after office hours in this hotel. Requested for an extra blanket on one of the nights and was told that they are not able to provide as it is after office hours and the room service staff are no longer available to bring one.
Provided towels had stains on them.
There were 2 lifts in the hotel, but 1 was under maintenance for the 2 nights stay we were there. I believe it is still in maintenance. There was a huge traffic on the 1 available lift. Sometimes, we had to wait for more than 15 minutes to use the lift (peak hours, of course). Strongly felt that the hotel should have either repaired the lift fast or should have a contingency plan for guests using lifts in the event one of the lift is down. In fact, on one of the nights, the lift suddenly stopped working, and I was trapped with my two very young children for almost 10 mins.
Buffet breakfast could have more varieties, but considering the hotel rates, we just have to accept what had been provided. Some of the buffet plates were very old and stained.
On one of the days, I had used the service stairs to avoid the traffic at the lift, and on one of the floors, I saw dozens of bottles of water stacked up. These were the same bottles that were placed in the hotel rooms for guests to drink. Not sure if these were replaced "old" bottles or"new" bottles that are awaiting to be replaced. Regardless, just be warned of the cleanliness of the water. I don't want to be judgemental here, but it is always better to be safe than sorry.
Hope the hotel takes the feedback seriously and improve and provide better services...
Read moreMetroStar Hotel is situated in a prime location on Jalan Masjid India, Kuala Lumpur, making it a convenient choice for Indian travelers. We booked a stay for 4 days and had a pleasant experience overall.
The area is popular with Indian tourists, and you'll find many Indian restaurants, jewelry shops, money exchange services, and even a public bank nearby. A major highlight is the Haniffa Mall, where you can find almost everything. However, if you're looking for western wear for ladies, this area might not offer much, but Sogo Mall, just a few hundred meters away, is a good alternative.
The hotel itself doesn’t offer à la carte dining, but it does serve breakfast from 7-10 am. The breakfast menu includes a variety of Indian dishes and other options, with daily changes, and the food quality is quite good. Breakfast is served on the 14th floor, which also has an outdoor seating area, offering a pleasant dining experience.
The rooms are clean, and the linens are well-maintained. You also get a glass water bottle with free refills available on the 7th floor. However, it's important to note that the hotel is usually busy with Indian tourists. Additionally, the check-in time is 3 pm, and the check-out time is 12 pm, which differs from the usual timings in India.
Overall, MetroStar Hotel is a solid choice if you're looking for a comfortable stay in an area that's familiar and convenient for...
