Looking for traditional Chinese Tong Sui desserts in the area? Come try out Lol Soon Kee Desserts!
Although I generally do not drink tong sui, the Pak Kor Yee Mai Fu Chok (Barley and Ginko Nuts Dessert) served here was good enough for me to finish it. While I wasn’t a fan of the Black Sesame Peanut Dessert, I would like to believe that if this is your favorite dessert, you would like the one served here too. Prices are pretty affordable too. They also serve meals here, such as curry Chee Cheong Fun.
The service was decent; nothing stood out, for better or worse. It could be that we visited around noon, when there wasn’t many customers nor staff personnel, so the place felt rather quiet until a little later, when customers began pouring in.
Finally, I really like that the space was very cool; well air-conditioned and very comfortable! It is definitely a good place to enjoy a bowl of your favorite tong sui while sharing your live stories and updates with your family members, relatives and friends for hours on end!
All in all, this is a place I will return to if I happen to be around the area with friends I want to spend a long time...
Read moreRecently had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to unprofessional and discourteous service. There was conflicting information presented on the menu, which led to understandable customer inquiries. It is the responsibility of the staff to address such questions with professionalism and clarity.
Unfortunately, the server, a young Chinese girl, appeared more focused on her phone than on the willingness to assist customers. Her responses were impatient and dismissive, suggesting the customer simply choose another item instead. Additionally, speaking only in Mandarin without considering whether customers understand the language reflects poor communication in a service-oriented environment. Also, if you were having difficulty understanding the customer, it would have been more appropriate to seek assistance from a colleague rather than simply responding with a black face and speaking in a rude tone.
Displaying frustration and dissatisfaction toward customers is unacceptable. If one lacks the willingness to provide courteous and attentive service, working in the food and beverage industry may not be...
Read moreHeard bout this dessert shop and some say its ok and others say so-so. So i tried the peanut and black sesame mix soup. Taste wise is ok, not sweet, fragrant enough and there's texture to it, meaning it not entirely smooth. Honestly compared to KTZ, definitely KTZ is better IMHO. Then next is the Mango Yoghurt Popping Sago cold dessert. Interestingly refreshing and not bad. Not sweet, taste of mango is pleasant and the popping boba like balls is nice. Not bad. Finally had the mochi balls with brown sugar sauce. Texture is soft and chewy. Peanuts was a bit coarse for my liking as it would have been better if it was finer and toasted till fragrant. Overall its an ok place to hang out with friends and family over dessert or tea. Clean and aircon. I didn't encounter bad service in my visit. The girls were attentive and prompt. Just the pricing in on the mahal side, RM31.55 for...
